Tuesday November 29th

I have given myself overnight to sort out my opinion on last night's show and I must say I'm still perplexed. On one had Anderson did a wonderful job of focusing on Darfur and the ethnic cleansing that has been happening there for years. This tragedy parallels what the Nazis did in Germany and I feel the only reason our government has done nothing is because these victims are black. To learn more go to http://www.savedarfur.org/ .
On the other hand I thought his interview about the school newspaper controversy was pandering to his fans that love to hear him talk about sex. Don't get me wrong, I am normally one of those fans but it was unsettling to me to see an almost 40 year old man talk about sex with a 16 year old girl. First time I've ever found anything Anderson does creepy. Maybe, if time had permitted, framing the interview with a stronger freedom of the press slant would that have helped. I just don't know.
On a lighter note Anderson had on my favorite tie last night, the navy one with tiny white dots. He hasn't worn it since Letterman, he's such a tease! And the word of the day.... kerfuffle!
My last observation is that the chemistry between AC and Erika Hill is a joy to observe. She is Gracie to his George Burns.

Interesting. I hadn't thought about it but you are kinda right about the sex interview. I thought it was funny, but in some sense I do think he should have had a bit more to it. I never thought about it as a nearly 40 year old guy talking to a 16 year old about sex, but at least it was done in a good way and not sleezy. :)

Nice blog, by the way
