Caring 4 Katrina

screencap by legionpossessed

When Anderson covered Spring Break in New Orleans (March 23rd) he featured college students working to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. This, to me, seemed like such a good pairing of those in need and those with the time and energy to do a great deal of good. That in mind, I went to work contacting various agencies who have organizations on the ground in NOLA and asked what programs they have in place for this summer. With the help of Rita at Andernations, and many more in the Andercommunity, a website has been developed that is aimed at college and high school students, teachers, even families who have time during the summer to get involved. Most of the organizations listed on Caring 4 Katrina supply their volunteers with food, shelter and transportation to the various work projects. You are responsible for your transportation to and from New Orleans. So please check out the Caring 4 Katrina website and PLEASE pass it on to anyone that you think might be interesting in lending a hand and their heart to a good cause. With your help maybe we, as a community, can make a difference. Thank you.

Just a few comments about this weeks excellent 360 shows. Have you noticed the slow but steady relaunch of the 'coolness factor' in the show? It's almost getting to be as hip as the 'red' 360 that most of us miss so much. I'm lovin the additions of The Angles, The Shot, etc.
And they're infusing decent bump music into both hours now, instead of saving it for the second. Don't know what caused it but I've got my fingers crossed that the show keeps heading in this direction.
And one last note about Wednesday's show. The Anderca segment in the first hour was just the best I've seen in a very long time. If you missed it, I'm sorry!

I noticed that they are trying to play cool music. It's not as cool as The Hour's theme music, but they are trying. To hear The Hour's theme music go to www.cbc.ca/thehour/
and listen to any one of the interview clips and you will see how cool the music is.

I totally agree and have noticed the same "coolness" is coming back. I am so pleased. I wonder what happened over at CNN for them to bring it back? New blood, Andy feed up with all of us sending negitive feedback? And the Anderson/Erica/Paula time was too funny. I love it!!!!!!

I could not agree more. Ac 360 is
the hippest news show hands down.

He is just such a natural and the
coolness is not fake. Let's hope
this continues since Anderson is now the only actual news show for
the 10pm hour. Maybe more viewers
will tune in now. I guess they
figure it would be a good time
to show the coolness to new sets
of eyes.

Just last Friday we were complaining about the direction of the show, that it was a bad week, etc., and now look at this week! It's almost like they make us get down, way down, just to be lifted back up by a great week. It's happened in the past--sure hope it doesn't happen too much in the future because my heart can't take it! Let's hope the new direction is here to stay and the show only gets better and better.
