All good things...

**According to Conan O'Brien's website, Anderson Cooper will be a guest on Late Night with Conan O'Brien tonight! Check your local listings!**

*****************************************

Okay, I've been a fan of Anderson Cooper's intelligence, strong work ethic, journalistic integrity and incredible sense of humor for 2 1/2 years now. For much of that time, I've been fortunate to be a part of your lives on a weekly basis. I came to this fandom when I needed to find my own writing voice. Boy, didn't I pick the perfect subject? Anderson Cooper is one of the good ones! He is a solid journalist who has done his thing with little care of what people write or think about him. I truly admire his compassionate and respectful reporting of difficult subjects such as the brutal war in the Congo, Hurricane Katrina victims and survivors struggling to put their lives back together, the tragedy at Sago Mine and the tragic tsunami, to name a few.

And of course, I'm never one to mince words. The fact that the man is darn gorgeous doesn't hurt either! Anderson Cooper is all that and a bag of chips, as they say! It's been a wonderful two years blogging about the man and his accomplishments but all good things must come to an end.

Since my daughter started school back in September, I've found it increasingly difficult to juggle motherhood and blogging. This is such an exciting time in my daughter's life and I don't want to miss one more second of it! I've discovered this year that I was born to be a PTA/Soccer Mom! So I've done some soul searching and I believe it's time for Sheryn to hang up her blogging talents!

I want to thank my blogmates for letting me be a part of such a wonderful team! You are all such wonderful and intelligent women from different walks of life and I'm proud to call you my friends. I'd also like to thank my wonderful friend Ms. Phebe who invited me to join ATA over a year ago. It has been such a terrific ride and I love you like a sister!

And one last note of thanks goes to Mr. Cooper himself. I've said this a million times but it bears repeating. Because of my admiration for one reporter's work, I found a wealth of friendship, happiness and fulfillment. I hope if Anderson Cooper has ever accidentally happened upon any of my posts here at ATA, he would find them to be respectful with a bit of humor.

**I think Anderson Cooper should wear his Young Republican tie in honor of my last post, don't you? LOL!**

And with that, I bid you adieu. Have a wonderful and peaceful evening! I'll see you in comments! ~Sheryn

Sheryn,

We will miss you terribly - especially your snarky sense of humor and venerable writing talents.

All the best to you as you take on the most important career there is - raising your daughter. You will never regret that!

Ms. Sheryn, even if I no longer make comments here on a regular basis coz of my schedule, I still see to it that I visit this site everytime I can and sure enough I'll gonna missed reading your eloquent and hearty posts. I can still remember the first time last year I made comment here, you were the one who welcomed me and to others who just recently found this blog. I told myself, you're so nice to do that. Anyway, good luck to you and wish you the best in all your endeavors! :-)

@Sheryn...happy for you, sad for us. I will definitely miss your humor and those times you taken to wish me well. That being said, I hope you have a blast being a PTA/Soccer mommy(of course I will expect you to be a "progressive" PTA mommy!) With the birth of my grandson's this past week, I've spent a lot of time thinking about how quickly my son grew up. It is surreal that he is now a daddy. I always worked full time when he was a child. I think I did an okay job but if I had one "do-over" I would try to work only part-time. It just goes by too fast. Yesterday Mr. Em and I spent the day with the son and babies so mommy could get a few hours sleep. At one point my son and I were downstairs with the babies while my daughter-in-law was napping upstairs. At one point when she half asleep she yelled "Honey, do you have the babies"? You could hear the panic in her voice. My son reassured her and she promptly resumed her nap. When she woke up my son told her about it and said he was going to tell her they went out to get sometihg to eat and would be back in a minute. My response to this was "Don't say that cause you'll blink your eyes and it will be true."

Enjoy this time and make sure you drop in on occassion and let us know how the PTA/Soccer years are going. Take care!

awwwwwwww Sheryn I will miss you so!!!!!!!

I wish you nothing but the best and thank you SOOOOO much for all you've done for ATA!! You're a talented writer and such a respectful blogger.

I've been reading your stuff for what seems like ages and I'm sad to see you go, but you have your priorities, and someday, I'll understand on a more profound level.

Best wishes, and we'll see you in the comments!

Sheryn,
This is sad news. I will miss your writing and commenting in this blog. "All Things Anderson" will still be great but it will be missing that one small gear that was like a diamond in a watch.

Although it is difficult for me to see you like a PTA/Soccer Mom, I know you will be wonderful at it. I still remember your own Anderson blog, it was so well redacted I checked it out every day. That's just the way you are, not good but great at all you do.

I am sure you will be checking into this and other blogs to find out more about Anderson -- once and AnderFan, always an AnderFan.

Good luck in your life after "All Things Anderson."

OH MY GOODNESS, you guys are really making this difficult! Thank you so much for all of your wonderful comments and emails.

Although I wont be a blogger at ATA any longer, I will still be a contributor in comments. I'm a huge fan of all of the ladies' posts! And you all know I can't keep my mouth shut for very long! LOL!

Like Peter said, once an Anderfan, Always an Anderfan!

@J, I'll have to label a young Democratic and Independent tie. Truthfully, I'm not even sure how that YRT got it's name in the first place!

@Sister Shanderson, OMG I'm so happy to see your comment! It's been too long! You made me think back, WAYYYYY BACK! What fun, huh?

I can't even tell you all how warm my heart is right now. You are all such wonderful friends. How can I truly ever leave here?

BUT OH MY WORD, ANDERSON! That is one interesting shirt/tie combo. You let me down dear! You let me down! LOLOLOLOL!!!

Thank you again. I promise I'll answer everyone's email in the morning! -S
