The Moos Election Coverage

Unfortunatly, last night they turned the webcam/webcast off early to show the Obama speech and I didn't get many pictures but here are a few...

Kevin, the stage director, sat in for Erica during the webcast and was very funny! He was asking "The Gerganator"(one of his nicknames for him) what his favorite treat was for Halloween and The Gerg replied that he enjoyed the Tricks better. Bob said he liked chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate and he also joked around with John King.

For our funny political videos I found a couple of funny Jeanne Moos segments from the past few days about the election...

Hope you all have a very Happy Halloween!

4 Days and Counting.......Boo!

Another 2 hour edition of AC360 with Anderson Cooper & Company. We were treated (?) to live Obama and Clinton and prerecorded McCain, since it was past his bedtime. Interspersed between these snippets from the campaign trail were some great discussions. This is my last night blogging pre-election......so hopefully it will be my last night that I feel the necessity to speed blog. • Candy Crowley was yet again tagging along with Obama. She also did a report on some new McCain strategies and the dreaded robo call. When I think I've had enough I need to remind myself how CC must feel. Poor lady hasn't slept in her own home for months.• The Strategy Session panel was David Gergen, Paul Begala and Alex Castellanos.

• 27 minutes live with Obama speaking in Missouri

• 4 minutes live with Clinton speaking in Minneapolis • AC, John King and The Gerg discuss Sarah Palin, her liability to the McCain campaign and her future. This was, for me, the best discussion and panel I've seen on AC360 in a long time.• John King was also at the magic map again on Thursday's program.

• Prerecorded John McCain from Defiance, Ohio

• Prerecorded Sarah Palin from Missouri

• Poor Gary Tuchman was stuck interviewing the Republican faithful at the McCain rallies.
• Tom Foreman filed in for Erica Hill with The Beat and the 360 Bulletin.

I've got a huge treat for you tonight. We've been trying for weeks now to upload the webcasts to our blog. We had a mini break though today, thanks to DAFan. She managed to record, convert and send us Erica and Jack Gray's little discussion on Wednesday's webcam. The audio and video are a bit out of sync, but still well worth a look. We hope this is just the beginning of us being able to share the webcast with those of you who aren't able to view it on a regular basis.

Our BA watches Ellen religiously and I'm grateful that she does. Look at what was on the Ellen tease on yesterday's program. Seems that Mr. Cooper will be making an appearance on Ellen's show on Election day. I tried to get some clarification from CNN on this but no luck, so I'm going to speculate a bit and guess it will be a remote interview. I can't imagine AC being MIA from the Election Center.

As is our tradition here at ATA we always go out on a limb and try to picture what Anderson will be wearing to the company Halloween party. Thanks to Lori for her fabulous creative help!

I'll see you back here next Tuesday night when we'll be live blogging during the Election Center broadcast. More details in Cyn's Monday post.
Until then ~ Phebe

Jib Jab

Here are the webcam caps from yesterday. There was a visit from Jack Gray on the webcast last night. I'm keeping my eyes open on the CNN video to see if it should be posted. I'll let you all know if I can get it.

This is a great clip from JibJab. They usually do a video every election year and this year's is just as great as the previous ones. You can also personalize your videos with your own face or someone else's. It's a lot of fun.

Try JibJab Sendables® eCards today!

I'll be back tomorrow, have a great night! Tedi B.

5 Days and Counting.....

I come bearing gifts so hopefully you will forgive me for not spending too much time on Wednesday's AC360. This will be the speed version.

• As we suspected most of the night was spent talking about McCain's interview with Larry King and Obama's infomercial. I didn't watch either (remember I've already voted?) so it was all new (but not very interesting) to me.
• Candy Crowley was on the trail with Obama (Florida) and Dana Bash with McCain (Ohio).
• Tom Foreman did some fact checking of the candidates talking points and also of Obama's infomerical.• Strategy Session was with David Gergen, Gloria Borger and Marie Teresa Petersen. My screengrab is a little silly, but don't you just love how The Gerg is looking at Borger like she's a nut job?• John King was back at the magic map and the Obama numbers are looking pretty good. I was shocked today to read in my local paper that Arizona (John McCain's home State) isn't a shoe in for Mac. CNN continues to show AZ as red but maybe it will turn to pink?
•Joe Johns looked at who does the polls and how they set the parameters. Seems there are so many variables that we won't know if the polls are accurate until the election is over.
• AC360 was live for the second hour also with most of the time being spent broadcasting the Clinton/Obama rally in Florida. It was wonderful to listen to Bill Clinton speak again. I'd vote him back into office tomorrow if I could.
• And the best of the night was Ms. Erica Hill and her red scarf. I think there will be a run on that fashion accessory today!

I've had my copy of the Best Life magazine for over a week now and kept forgetting to scan the article and additional pictures for all of you. Just click on the picture to enlarge the page for reading and enjoy.

And for those of you who asked, here is the large version of the black and white photo and an additional photo from the page of contents and the color one we've blogged before. Again click to enlarge.
So that's it for me tonight, I hope I'm forgiven for the abbreviated synopsis of the program. I cannot wait for this to be over and to get back to polygamy, perverts and even some Paris!~Phebe

Afternoon Collages-Beat 360

Here are Tuesday night's collages. Much of the webcast was devoted to Erica discussing the Halloween party given by a 360 crew member. We saw some pictures from the party...looks like a blast!

Last night they were unable to show "Beat 360" on the air but I do have the clip to share. It's pretty funny....

We received this from a reader and I thought it was great. Non-Obama supporters may not find it as humours. (Ha)

Have a great afternoon. Tedi B

6 Days and Counting......

I'm sort of at a loss tonight. Nothing really floated my boat, except maybe Anderson Cooper mentioning my alma mater Penn State. I don't think I've ever heard anyone pronounce Nittany Lions quite the like AC did. Take a listen.

One other point of interest on Tuesday's AC360 was Roland Martin's snarky comment. I laughed out loud which was better than my snoring out loud which took place periodically throughout the program.

Here's the run down on Tuesday's program in bullet points.

• Wild day on Wall Street. Ali Velshi again was in the studio to explain the rally and how it ties into the Feds anticipated interest cut tomorrow. Seriously, how much more can the interest be cut? The 'Hairless Profit of Doom' was trying to be upbeat, but it's not that easily these days.

• Candy Crowley was on the trail with the Obama campaign in Pennsylvania. It worries me that PA has become the bellwether state in this election. If any state is going to illustrate the Bradley effect my experience tells me PA will be the one.

• Ed Henry was again accompanying the McCain campaign. Talk of bickering between the candidates, name calling (diva and whack job) and more Joe the Plumber.

• Next up....extended excerpts from the campaign trail. This is where my snoring began. AC said it was so we could get a sense of the excitement, I think it was just to kill sometime because everything about this election has already been said.
• Strategy Session was with David Gergen, Roland Martin and Kevin Madden.

• Joe the Plumber endorsed McCain today and shared his wisdom on the future of Israel. Give me a break.• I love Miles O'Brien and I'm really pleased to see him subbing for John King on the magic map.• Gray Tuchman was at a mall in Nevada reporting on early voting. Not to keep harping on PA but without early voting it could be the Florida of this election. •Erica Hill focused Crime and Punishment on the Jennifer Hudson family murders. Not many new details, just the sad news that Hudson's nephew was found with multiple gunshot wounds.
I hope you will forgive me for not capping 'The Shot'? Who needs more politics? Not me!

Remember Hudson's Booksellers, famous for the Anderson Cooper life size cut out? Well Hudson's is now giving away free bookmarks of some members of the CNN team. What no John Roberts? Hudson's are located in most major airports.
DAFan has sent us a picture of the alternate cover of this month's Best Life. I'm told this was the cover for subscribers. One is currently for sale on eBay.

Deepavali (Festival of Lights) began on Tuesday night for our Indian friends. Shubh Deepavali!

Only 6 more days? Can't you almost smell the election? ~Phebe

Collages, Jack Gray and Blogging 360

Here are two collages from the webcam last night. There was talk of the crew dressing up for Halloween on Friday but who knows if they will or if Anderson will participate? Someone on the Live Blog suggested that Anderson dress up as Wolf Blitzer, which I think would be hilarious. Erica also mentioned we might see her AC impression again.

I also wanted to bring up that Jack Gray, the now infamous humours 360 Blogger, said he would try and make an appearance on the Live Webcast on Wednesday night. Hopefully, CNN will put that clip up on their site. You can bet we'll have it here, if possible!

~~Blogging the 360 Blog~~

I don't know if you all have seen the toll-free number that CNN has put out for voters to call in any problems at their polls or not, but here is some info about it from the 360 Blog. What do you all think about this? Do you think CNN is trying to make stories out of nothing or do you think it's good for them to keep a watch on the elections?

See you all tomorrow, Tebi B!

8 more days & "Back From the Battle"

Yes, we're into single digits. And not a freakin' day too soon, huh? Man, this has been a long, long campaign. And I have few grabs but bonus clips tonight, so let's get started.

Candy Crowley reports on Barack Obama's "closing argument," and there's also a look at the McCain/Palin camps infighting that broke out over the weekend in big, noisy ways. Dana Bash reports on The Palin Factor... and someone please tell me why Elizabeth Hasselbeck is ... well, anywhere, let alone speaking at a presidential rally. Okay, I don't watch Survivor, so I guess maybe I'm just less impressed by her..."fame" ... than some. But still.

Tonight's Pundit Panel is David Gergen, John King (in San Francisco to do a story on The Bradley Effect, according to what he said on TSR this afternoon), and the NYT' Marcus Mabry. I think they got more screen time than Anderson tonight! Nevertheless, there is a great moment, mostly the Gerg but Anderson's reaction is great, as is John's:

Ground War... sheesh, okay, it's a bit of hyperbole, but still. Another week, folks, and we're done. We can make it, right? But anyway, with John on the Left Coast, we get...

Miles on the Magic Map! No word as to whether he can make Michigan bounce like John can (see ATC for that) but he has fun with it. John needs to have more fun with it, don'tcha think?

Afterwards, Anderson plugs the online version of the Magic Map. A cute clip, especially for those of you who have hand fetishes. (Yes, I know who you are... Okay, some of you, anyway.)

Anyway... another Strategy session, and then a discussion about Baracks Big Bucks. Seriously, for all the years -- no, DECADES -- that the Republicans have had more money than the Dems, they just need to suck it up for this one time, you know? Sheesh. And seriously, have you ever been swayed by a political commercial? I mean, other than wanting to scream and tear your hair out if they don't STOP SOON?! I guess somebody must pay attention to them, but I think most of us just hit that good ol' MUTE button. John had a good point about the much higher number of Obama staffers, though. Now THAT makes sense.

Erica does a Crime & Punishment piece on the tragedy of what happened to Jennifer Hudson's family. I know it's not going to make any more sense once they figure out why it happened and who did it, but I do hope the police are able to find some answers.  (Not that a celebrity's family is any more important than anyone else's, of course... I always want the cops to nail the crazy bastards who do this kind of thing.)

The 360 Bulletin: asinine skinhead plot, stocks hit a 5-year-low, new home sales are up but still a third down from last year. And then...

Here's the second hour PiP clip... and then stay tuned for more bonus material!

Pictures From MTV Concert

UPDATED:

A quick update for you... we received a wonderful tip that Anderson was mentioned on Regis & Kelly (on a day when Anderson wasn't co-hosting.) CelebTV.com posted the clip on October 20th.

Here are some pictures of Anderson from theA Night for Vets: An MTV Concert for the BRAVE.

It seemed appropriate to use one of the pics above as the basis for this week's puzzle. Enjoy!

I have a short 360 in :60 review for you this week. Only two days, but both were done by Anderson Cooper.

Tuesday, on The Ellen Degeneres Show, Ellen talked about watching CNN's election coverage during her monologue. Of course, she mentions Anderson. Friday, I posted the clip on All Things CNN.
