Like Anderson Cooper we're also taking this Memorial Day 2010 off. We've dug deep into the ATA Archives to bring you a little 360 history lesson.
Back in the days of red 360 AC did a Nth Degree about all the 360's that popped up after his program came on the scene. Like AC360 some are still around......Microsoft XBox 360, Colgate 360, ESPN 360 and Perry Ellis 360. But some had less success than AC360 including NASCAR Drivers 360, YAHOO 360 and Dance 360. Take a look:
AC360 producers tweeted today that AC would be reporting from NOLA again this week. Things change quickly in the news business so we'll just have to wait and see. ~Phebe

I miss the Nth Degree. It was always a highlight of red 360. It was a good way for Anderson to show off his unique sense of humor.
Phebe, who specifically tweeted Anderson would be in NOLA this week? I could not find such a tweet. Thanks.
Kira, Joneil and Ismael all tweeted about it. They are AC360 segment producers.
Not looking forward to another week of 360 in Louisiana, as I was not particularly interested in the first week. It appears the spill won't be stopped or cleaned up soon, and 360 is passing over hot breaking news. However, it's AC live, so I'll watch. Hope CNN hasn't put an end to exciting AC in the midst of on-location action. Feeling nostalgia for those times, though I've only been a fan a little over a year.
To any who take offense at comments in praise of Anderson. To me as an AC fan, 360 is just another TV show without him, and CNN is like any other network apart from him. He's the star.
Also, if a network does not use their talent to best advantage, and if commentators don't speak or present well in an intelligent, articulate manner--if the commentator is not a very interesting speaker, then in my opinion the network is not producing a quality program.
Anderson has viewer attention before he even opens his mouth. He is poised and smart, has a pleasant voice, enunciates clearly, and presents in an interesting way. He is also one of the most compassionate reporters of his time. So naturally he is much admired on ATC, which is dedicated to him after all. And YES, he IS extraordinarily attractive. I admire his physical beauty as well, and have no qualms about voicing my admiration, or expressing my opinions about AC, 360 or CNN on this blog. Thank you, Phebe and all with ATC, for being so gracious to give fans a voice.
@MichellenLomita then don't watch if all you want to see is Anderson. I am sorry, but you seem to be a very shallow person, who doesn't seem to care about anything but seeing Anderson Live in a tight tee shirt. There is nothing wrong with praising Anderson, but there is more to the man than looks, he is intelligent and has a passion about this subject.
Here's a suggestion don't watch the show, get the podcast and then you'll only have to put up with 18 minutes of the news.
Sorry Phebe, but I hate shallow people who only care about the pretty and not about stories that affect everyone.
@anonymous 11:56, Don't apologize for your honest feelings. I think MichellenLomita is expressing her honest feelings too, but I also think that she is in that new fan stage. We are all drawn to AC360 and Anderson for different reasons but the pretty only goes so far. Eventually new fans either get serious about wanting to be informed or they move on. No disrespect meant to anyone, just an observation made over many years of running ATA.
@Phebe
Thank you for being tolerant with all of us and our different opinions. You and the other bloggers have done an incredible job with this site and it's a miracle that you are all still on board with it after all these years.
@MichellenLomita
I respect your comments, but I have a feeling Anderson wouldn't be too pleased if he heard what you had said about the show. I know the show can be improved with constructive criticism, but I think NOLA and everything that has to do with it is a very sensitive and passionate subject for AC and the crew. Whenever I watch the show, yes I watch it for AC as well, but he's not the star of the show. The people who come on the show are the real stars. He just tells their stories for them because they don't have another outlet for the public to know what's going on. They may lack the skills for public speaking and may not communicate as well as AC, but they are trying their best to tell their own story. Of course, there are the obvious pundits/commentators who you know are speaking BS, but for the most part, especially when AC is out on the field, you know those people are speaking their honest opinion.
Just my two cents.
Surprised that anyone would consider the oil spill stale news as the situation becomes increasingly awful every day. It's not that I don't think there's other "hot breaking news" and it should be covered, but I wouldn't want the AC360 team anywhere else today.
@anon 11:56 You told me "don't watch". Evidently, you are comfortable telling other bloggers what to do. You also freely denigrate people who disagree with you. Your words are incorrect and untrue concerning my comments. I am not at all shallow, and I care very much about the news and other people. I have stated many times that Anderson is passionate and intelligent. My point is, in my opinion commentary is not news. We are not seeing enough actual unbiased news; we're hearing commentators' opinions, and I don't believe the commentary last week was at all interesting. Anderson excels at realtime as-it-happens reporting, and CNN should utilize his strengths. I am NOT only interested in AC's good looks. What you hate, Anonymous, are people who disagree with you. I will continue to watch 360 every night and express my honest opinions. My suggestion to you is to remember that ATA is not about me or any other blogger.
@anon 1:50 p.m. That's just my point. We are not SEEING enough people actually involved with the stories. AC is NOT being allowed to serve as their voice. We're seeing CNN commentators, and they SHOULD be interesting speakers--many IMO simply are not.
Seems recently certain bloggers are addressing the person who disagrees with the majority, and picking apart their comments, inaccurately. I repeat, this blog is NOT about me or my comments.
@Phebe Thank you again for posting all viewpoints, and I sincerely hope this one is posted also, giving me a chance to defend my comments and myself against inaccurate censure. I love blogging on ATA and reading everyone's comments. I know that you respect all who comment on ATA, and I have respect and admiration for your work and those who contribute to the site. This is a great website, one of the best. Please, as a regular ATA blogger, I want you and fellow bloggers to understand that I am very serious about the news, people, and life, regardless of how some would attempt to twist my meaning. I also hold to ALL of my opinions.
@EmmKay: Couldn't agree more. AC needs to be in NOLA. It is an environmental issue now and possibly the worst in our history. Our entire food chain is at stake.
For 40 days the media sat and did NOTHING. Hopefully AC will fill in the blanks. This is when investigative journo is of utmost importance.
MichellenLomita: I think you are confused about ATC and ATA. ATA is dedicated to Anderson and 360. ATC is dedicated to a variety of opinions on CNN. I value your opinions on either one. This site is ATA. Just trying to help.
