Anderson Cooper Prepares for New Talk Show
By Molly Stark Dean on October 1, 2010 1:30 PM
The show, hosted by Anderson Cooper in front of a live studio audience, will air next Friday at 10pmET...
“Bullying: No Escape; an AC 360 Special Report with PEOPLE Magazine and Cartoon Network,” includes guests Dr. Phil McGraw, Rosalind Wiseman, author of the book that inspired the movie “Mean Girls,” American Idol finalist Crystal Bowersox, and families affected by the issue.
And the taping wasn’t without some technical difficulties.
Several times the program stopped, prompting mixed reaction from the audience. Cooper joked, “CNN’s a little new to the whole TV thing.” Another stop due to technical difficulties prompted the audience to talk amongst themselves with Dr Phil joking, “Don’t make me come up there.”
The program was quite moving and relevant due to the recent number of suicides related to bullying.
And from Twitter - Anderson Tweeted this picture of himself with Crystal Bowersox yesterday.

360 was pretty good last nite though I could have done without the surfing interview. What was the point of it. It was dumb and a waste of airtime.
The Andrew Shrivell story just gets more and more bizarre. He needs to be fired. I just don;t get the hatred for Chris Armstrong. He never did anything to Shirvell.
I like AC in the jeans. Great look for him :)
I did not watch 360, like so many others last nite it seemed, with his total being a 398.
I must say I felt sorry for him because O'Donnell had a total of 900 something and I think his ratings are a big negative for him, going into daytime.
That is why I believe he's still attaching himself to CNN, something like a safety net, just in case, which is smart.
I will be watching the bullying special next Friday because of its relevancy. But if adults are truly serious about stopping humiliation, than they can no longer afford to ignore its draw as "adult entertainment."
Thank you for your post :) Didn't watch yesterday. The story of Anderson Cooper and a suitcase of money is soooo funny haha :D :D
Anderson sounded like he was catching a cold but that could've been my imagination.
Good move by CNN in getting rid of Rick Sanchez, it took too long, IMO.
I forgot to mention AC saying "I'm not Oprah" during that Anderson Cooper "arrested" report. It was an interesting thing for him to say considering all the chatter about his upcoming daytime show and all the comparisons to Oprah....
Last night was so so. The Shrivell story is only interesting because my son lives in MI.
I will also watch the bullying special. It looks to be very interesting.
Did anyone else notice that Anderson sounded like he had a cold? Also love the jeans.;)

Does Rick Sanchez getting fired mean that Anderson won't be playing Sanchez getting tasered any more?
Personally, I thought Anderson's teabagging comment was equally as bad as what Rick Sanchez said. Anderson's tone and what he said was offensive to me.
I agreed with what Lisa Bloom said that it should have been a learning experience, not fired.
I knew someone would have to find a way to criticize AC in this Rick Sanchez firing. Personally I believe AC could use the term he used about the Tea Party a gazillion times and it would never approach the rank offensiveness of what Rick Sanchez said, not only about a certain group of people, but about bullying and Tyler Clementi--two reprehensible comments in one week. He deserved to be let go. Someone like Sanchez can't be "taught", his mouth betrays him every time and this was no different. I'm so glad he was yanked off the air. It should've been much sooner.
@aires moon: I totally agree with you. There is NO comparison between what AC said and the total incompetence of Rick Sanchez.
Rick Sanchez couldn't even find the places he was speaking about on a map.
The man is a total incompetent and should never have been on air, under Klein, for three hours.
Anderson and Sanchez shouldn't even be in the same sentence, no less at the same network.
