EPILOGUE:

video

If you missed AC360 on Tuesday night I strongly urge you to take a few minutes and watch/listen to the video I posted under epilogue, it's one of Anderson Cooper's most moving commentaries.

On a personal note: I don't think I have ever been more proud of my neighborhood than I was on Monday morning when I walked out my front door and discovered that most of my neighbors were flying their American flags. It was a spontaneous and very powerful expression of pride in our country, our military and our President. God bless America. ~Phebe

I think showing the photo of the dead is highly disrespectful and since Bin Laden clearly lacked respect for others the photo of him outght to be released. He doesn't deserve any respect or dignity in death.

AC's epilogue was very touching but not realistic.
Children will be studying Bin Laden and his Evil twin Hitler, for as long as history remains a subject.
It was again annoying for AC to ask the question does "PRESIDENT OBAMA DESERVE THE PRAISE HE'S BEEN GETTING?
Yes, AC, as Commander in Chief it was HIS CALL and this operation required preciseness that hasn't been seen from our military in a very long time.
And for the record: Who cares if Bin Laden was AREMED?
Were the 3000 innocent people in the Towers ARMED on that faithful day???

Enjoyed the interviews with Philip Gourevitch and Howard Wasdin. Anderson's ending remarks were incredibly moving--his comments about the message this country sends in how we treat our enemies in death was very powerful. His plea for us to keep the innocent people who lost their lives foremost in our thoughts instead of putting so much emphasis on OBL, while at the same time never forgetting the horror he brought to our nation hit all the right notes. Well done Anderson.

I have a picture in my head I can't get rid of: The man jumping to his death on 9/11 to escape the flames. I doubt the pic of Osama is worse than that. Show it already.

Thanks for posting the ending of the show, indeed very moving! I missed 360 last night, I was in Fenway Park watching the Boston Red Socks win over LA Angles. There was a uniformed officer in the crowd, they showed him on the screen and the crowd cheered for him. I think we all feel a few inches taller these days. Sarah
