Next Week's Talk Show Line Up

Monday, Sept. 26
Twins: Abandoned and Abused: Anderson spends the hour with twins, Kristen and Will Stillman, who endured thirteen years of abuse, torture, and sexual assault by one man and his family. Anderson also speaks with the twins’ mother, who is currently serving sixteen years in prison for knowing about the ongoing abuse and doing nothing to put an end to it. Anderson talks with Kristen and Will about remaining resilient through such horrific circumstances, their current outlook on life, and what they see for their future.

Tuesday, Sept. 27
Anderson’s Food Intervention: Anderson spends the hour exploring why we eat what we eat, including the odd patterns many people have with food consumption. Anderson shares his own relationship with food and for the first time ever in his life, he tries spinach, brussels sprouts, and coffee. Anderson also speaks with one guest who has only eaten hash browns and french fries for the past 50 years. Anderson is joined by author of “The Family Dinner,” Laurie David, who helps him launch the Anderson Family Dinner Challenge, where one’s family has to cook and eat dinner together for five nights in a row.

Wednesday, Sept. 28
“50/50” with Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon Levitt & Angelica Huston: Anderson is joined by Seth Rogen (Knocked Up), Joseph Gordon Levitt (500 Days of Summer) and Angelica Huston (MEDIUM, SMASH) who discuss their upcoming film, 50/50, a comedy, based on the true story of a 27 year-old man’s cancer diagnosis and his subsequent struggle to beat the disease. 50/50 screenwriter, Will Riser, also joins the cast to discuss the power of healing with humour.

Thursday, Sept. 29
Former FLDS Teens, Plus Kody Brown & “Sister Wives”: Anderson continues the conversation a week later with four former teen members of Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, who offer an introspective view of their former sheltered lives inside FLDS. The four teens also visit the sites around New York City, including H&M, Times Square and Ground Zero and compare what they were taught versus what they have now observed first hand. SISTER WIVES husband Kody Brown, his four wives and some of their children, also join Anderson to discuss the lawsuit they recently filed against Utah’s bigamy law, which makes it a felony to marry or cohabitate with more than one person.

Friday, Sept. 30
Anna Faris: Was My Ex The One?: Anderson speaks with actress Anna Faris (The House Bunny) about her upcoming film, What’s Your Number?, a comedy about a woman who looks back at the past twenty men she's had relationships with in her life and wonders if one of them might be her one true love. Anderson also speaks with real women who are looking at their past relationships to see if they missed “the one.”

Thanks for posting the "Anderson" line-up, quite a variety this week.

For the Oprah-lovers, Monday has abuse survivors.

Foodies will love Tuesday and I'll try to get the DVR working to record Anderson trying coffee. I'm predicting it won't go well.

Wednesday sounds like the best show of the week because you've got Joseph Gordon Levitt (who I find adorable), two more celebrities, an author and what could be a really good discussion about cancer and recovery.

Thursday - FLDS again... just not as fascinated by this topic as Anderson is.

And finally on Friday for the SATC crowd, there's Anna Faris.

And I have to say, Anderson looks super in that top photo.

It's a double edged sword with Anderson.
He wouldn't get the best guests if he has trouble getting the largest audience share and he can't keep relying on friends and family, his mother, and other CNN contributors, Sanjay Gupta, for show content.
That becomes old quickly.

On Friday Anderson is having "The House Bunny," who was featured on another PIX show called Bill, which airs three hours ahead of his.
Who's copying who here?
I've never heard of half the talk hosts on PIX 11 but I remember this particular host asking this House Bunny, how many was enough?
Either guests are being rerun, or hosts are borrowing guests and subject matter.

Anon 1:16 AM - I don't know who Bill is or what PIX 11 is, we don't seem to get either in my area. But we do have "Anderson" broadcast on the CBS affilliate at 9 AM (Central time zone).

Anna Faris AKA the House Bunny is on a media tour for her new movie. People do this all the time, show up on every talk show they can to promote their new movie or book or whatever. It's not a case of shows borrowing guests or copying, It's driven by publicity managers.

Looking again at Anderson's upcoming shows this week, there's something for everyone but not everyone is going to be happy with the content of all five shows.

@Jaanza: PIX11 is in the NY area.
Here it carries sleeze.
All the hosts that have not made a name for themselves are on PIX11.
They also have reruns of every show that is no longer in primetime.
Never watch it.
