Anderson Cooper: Monday December 19, 2011

All Things Anderson is on a blogging light schedule during the holidays. We’ll be keeping track of who is in the 360 anchor chair and the guests on Anderson but won’t be going into detail on either program. If you have a clip request for any segments on either show please mention it in comments. We’ll try our best to post it after Christmas.
We hope everyone has a happy holiday season.

I liked today's episode of 'Anderson' better than I thought I would. I don't typically like Angelina Jolie, but it was a good interview.

So this week is Anderson's Holiday week eh? This might just be me but calling it that is just ugh. Why call it a holiday week? It's 3 new episodes mostly about celebs and movies, a rerun, and a single Christmas episode. Either don't call it a Holiday week, or go all out and use the fact that it's Christmas time to your advantage.

I agree with Cas.
This is a stupid ploy to put 3 new episodes on when it is a travel/plan week.
These episodes should have been broadcasted last week instead.
Not that I would have watched this week or last week.
I don't find celebrities as fascinating as Anderson seems to.

Sanjay interviewed the Ling sisters and it was very interesting.
Neither of them could believe that the people living in North Korea could really believe that their leader was "The higher power."
It was incredible that people even prayed to their photos as though they were Godly.
Tom Foreman also had a very scary
report on the Korean military and their arsenal of weapons.
From what I saw, a very good selection of segments on 360, for a change.

Did it surprise anyone else that Anderson is taking the whole week off from 360? I don't remember him ever taking that much time off for the holidays. I thought he didn't like Christmas???

@ 1:32 Pretty sure Sanjay said he's back tonight.

Anderson took the last two weeks of December off last year. I think it depends on how Christmas/New Years falls on the calendar (with his NYE hosting duties), but he typically takes close to, if not two weeks off at the end of the year.

I thought the story selection on 360 was good last night and the coverage of North Korea was very good and interesting - a nice mix of reports and interviews.

I'm over trying to figure out what the thinking is on new vs repeats of 'Anderson' and why all the emphasis/promotion of "big celebrities" this week when Mr. Cooper said that's what his show wouldn't be - celebs stopping by to promote their latest project. I guess he has a short term memory problem? Or has he sold out for ratings?

Angelina Jolie looks sickly.
She is so thin that it is obvious she must have an eating disorder,
as is reported in the tabloids.
Too thin is very unhealthy and not wise.
She is a poor role model for young women.
