I sort of watched Monday's 360 (and halfway watched another program). Tom Foreman did a good job; the big stories were the Republican candidates and the Iowa primary, the Syrian protesters and government crackdown and a missing little girl from Maine.

Tom had a great teaser before a commercial break, talking about CNN reviewed court documents from Newt Gingrich's first divorce and what they revealed contrary to what Gingrich had stated. That got my interest up. Unfortunately, it turned out to be just a couple of sentences in Isha's bulletin that the first wife didn't want the divorce and asked the judge to deny it.

I was not able to watch much of 360 last week and missed the first five of 360's countdown of the best Ridiculists. Monday's was the one about Stephen Colbert.

Was there a poll for viewers to vote for the best Ridiculists? Who is choosing the top ten? If it's the viewer deciding then I have to bet the #1 Ridiculist will be Anderson talking about Gerard Departdeau and collapsing into giggles.

But I have a feeling Anderson has pulled that one out and locked it away and we'll never see it again.

There was an opportunity to vote for the "Top 10" RidicuLists on the AC360 website, but there were only ten to choose from. Anderson/producers/staff had obviously picked the top 10 and the voters only determined the order within.

I like Tom, but after the segment on Syria, I lost interest. One can only take so much of the Republican candidates; even Republicans seem to be over them! I'm sure we will be spoon feed every last detail, until a candidate is chosen as CNN = politics (or at least Republican politics.)

I enjoyed the segment with the author on today's talk show. I wish Anderson would have done a whole show with him and the cast of the movie. He seemed engaged during the interview and it was too short and randomly thrown in with the New Year's Eve stuff -- as was the segment with Patrick Dempsey. I think "Random segments shot over a period of several days" would have been a more appropriate title!

For some reason I seem to get Tom
Foreman and Gary Tuchman confused, and I really don't know why.
I must confess that I'm not watching 360 until the new year, and I make it a point not to watch Anderson's talkfest.
During inclement weather, I watch Ellen. Otherwise I am out and about, and not glued to the tube.

Tom Foreman is the smart, funny, eccentric one -- Gary Tuchman is the pleasant, earnest, kind of sappy one.
