Sad to hear about the death of TV icon Don Cornelius (nice tribute by Anderson). I grew up watching Soul Train every Saturday.

Again it was odd to start out with the story about the Mississippi pardoned murderers but again it was the best part of the show.

Don't know why Romney's comment got so much time ("I don't care about really poor people.") Don't all Repbulicans feel that way?

The Ridiculist was pretty good this time. I thought the clips of Joan Rivers allegedly high were pretty tame; she wasn't behaving all that differently than she did on "Fashion Police" (I'm not a regular watcher but had to see the SAG episode.)

Anderson seemed a little out of it, maybe he's distracted or something. He was verbally clumsy a few times most notably after The Shot when saying upcoming reports. I don't know maybe I'm too quick to notice them now and blame the talk show.

I liked the piece about Don Cornelius. So sad to hear he died. I like watching old episodes of Soul Train. I watched a documentary on VH1 once about Soul Train and it was very interesting.
