The Assad emails were not "leaked to CNN", as AC said and is repeated in an article on the CNN website. It was first exposed by the British Guardian, who got it from the FSA who was reading these emails for a while. It was quoted all over the world and CNN got it kind of late. Someone needs to keep Anderson Cooper honest. - Sarah
@Sarah - thanks so much for pointing that out. I turned on 360 a few minutes late and missed Anderson saying where CNN got these al-Assad emails from. I kept wondering about the source, wondering if perhaps there were many emails about the Syrian conflict but whoever released the emails edited out all but the most banal and detached.
The discussion between Matalin and Rosen was pretty good. I agreed with Rosen most of the time. After Rosen said women's birth-control has become politicized, I wish she had asked "Why hasn't insurance coverage for Viagra become politicized?"
The Mississippi paroled murderers mess - Anderson pointed out Fmr.Gov. Barbour's people saying 'he's going to be busy for a month' and then Barbour finding the time to talk to FOX - at first I felt like that was Anderson being pissed off but then I remembered something similar.
Way back in 2005, a couple of weeks after Katrina, Anderson was still in NOLA and wanted an interview with Mayor Ray Nagin. He was told Nagin was too busy. CNN cameras followed Nagin to a ritzy French Quarter restaurant. Anderson the next broadcast pointed out 'Nagin too busy for us but plenty of time for a nice leisurely meal at a fine restaurant.' Anderson got his interview with Nagin the next day or two.
Don't know if Barbour will ever answer questions from anybody at CNN but I agree with pointing out politician's hypocrisy and lies about how "busy" they are.
Jaanza
Mary Matalin was once again a disappointment to all women. The Republicans are trying to make birth control all about contraception instead of understanding that birth control medication is used to treat a wide variety of women's health issues.
I would love to see a discussion on Viagra and other ED drugs or all the catholic men that have vasectomies that insurance covers. It is a war on woman and Anderson is clueless on the basic understanding of the issue; as are Santorum and Rush.
Can't imagine how Mary Matalin lives with herself these days.
@ariesmoon, AMEN!
I can't imagine how Mary Matalin lives with her own husband these days.
