A blog dedicated to CNN's AC360 and its host Anderson Cooper.
Wolf Blitzer anchored for Anderson Cooper, who is on vacation. Here's part 1 of AC's series Kids on Race:
The ATA Team
Kids on Race
Wolf Blitzer was okay, 360, there were the usual reports you'd expect - the college shooting in CA and politics. There was a profile on Ann Romney, wife of Mitt; the most interesting part was the reporter's comment on Ann's remark that money was so tight while she and Mitt were college newlyweds that they considered sellign some of their stock options. The reporter said is was another example of how "out of touch" the Romney's were but declined to say anything stronger.Anderson's special report on kids and racism - it's a great topic but I had a lot of deja vu watching Monday's report; didn't seem much different from the reports on this last year.Is Wolf subbing all week?Jaanza
I thought Wolf did a good job for a sub. Did note that the Randi Kaye report on Ann Romney was a repeat. It was shown last month. I've lost all respect for Mary Matalin discussing women. She's about out of touch as they come...I agree with Jaanza about the kids/race study. I tuned out quickly as I didn't see anything new from the last study, other than different pictures. Guess repeating topics is now a theme for Anderson. I also found it odd that if Anderson invested so much time and is so interested in the topic that he chose to be on vacation the week the special series aired. I'm guessing the segments will be packaged into a Special Friday night. Why not just air it as a special, since it's all pre-taped anyway, and give us an hour of new, news Monday thru Thursday?Jenn
@Jenn repeating things is not only an issuer for Anderson it's one for 360 as well. I too didn't see any difference between this study and the one from two years ago. If I remember correctly the last one didn't do so well ratings wise. I wouldn't be surprised if they they run a special on it Friday nite. Though do they really think people care enough to want to watch a whole hour of it? I guess in another 2 years we'll get another kids/race study.
I haven't looked at the AC360 twitter page for awhile, but looked at it today. Funny thing is that all the display(not in the recent line) photos on the page are from the time when AC was a real reporter and not just a talking head. I find that kind of ironic.
