I missed most of the first segment about Syria. The second about Donald Trump shouldn't have happened and wouldn't have happened if Wolf Blitzer didn't talk to Trump earlier in the day.

However, I give 360 big points for having a funny ugly picture of Trump over Anderson's shouldner at the start of this segment. Romney guy Kevin Madden who said people are more concerned about the economy and it's the media who keeps focusing on the birther issue and I agree, Wolf and the rest of the Situation Room should have simply ignored Trump.

If Trump wants to blather about President Obama's birth certificate, fine, let him. But that doesn't mean we have to pay any attention.

The report about the LA-San Fran light rail resonated with me because the legislature in my state has to figure out how to pay for a new Vikings stadium - similiar to the California light rail project because many people oppose the new stadium and of course it will be way more expensive than anyone predicted.

An old complaint but it still bothers me when Anderson previews an upcoming story - like the Miami face-eating cannibal or Ravi Darsham - making you believe there's going to a full report and those subjects only get a couple of sentences in the Bulletin.

Loved the news report about the doggie with the China bike trek and the Shot with the howling/crooning German Shepherd. The Ridiculist was pretty good, Sanjay Gupta added some insight and fun.

What bothers me about the Trump/Romney birther issue is that the media came down very hard on candidate Obama during the Rev. Wright controversy and he was not allowed to side-step or push aside questions about his relationship with him and he was asked repeatedly if he agreed with Wright's sermons and his character was questioned by the media/pundits, etc on a nightly basis (Anderson didn't let up on Wright even AFTER Obama addressed the nation). Candidate Obama eventually addressed the concerns about Wright in a speech to the nation and that seemed to satisfy most people at the time. Why is it that Romney is not getting the same kind of push from the media to denounce Trump, it seems to me that they are trying to downplay it and act like it's meaningless that he's embracing this disgusting birther. What about Romney's character? He's running for President and I'd like to think he had principles and wasn't simply about grabbing the most money from whoever throws it at him. If the media is going to bring up the birther issue, they should be going after Romney--saying that he doesn't share the views of all of his supporters is
weak and I know full well that they wouldn't have let Obama get away with that answer. Double standard.
