Anderson Cooper Friday 8/17/12

Soledad O'Brien was again subbing for Anderson on AC360. She's done 5 nights this week and her morning show. Hardest working woman at CNN!

We may have carried our "No shoes, No SHIRT, No problem" motto a bit too far today, but it seems a passing Japanese Navy ship enjoyed the view! That made us think of some of Anderson's favorite videos from Japan, including SEAMANSHIP! Enjoy ~

Anderson hasn't kicked Ben out. They were videotaped on the boat together this week.

How do we know if that video was taken before it was revealed he was cheating? They had already flown to Croatia on Friday, and it wasn't reveleaed until a few days later. We don't really know the authenticity of when that video was taken.

From classy to trashy - ATA used t be a great blog but over the last week it has turned into something just like the other trashy websites, blogs, etc. You don't seem to respect Anderson Cooper any longer and I doubt he will ever give you an interview now.

Anonymous10:51 they are only posting links so nobody is making you go to the sites, besides lets face it most of us want to know what is going on because we admire Anderson and care what he is going through.

I cannot believe he waits this long to come out and thinks he has found the love of his life and then this happens.

ATA--I for one appreciate how you are trying to keep us all informed

Thank you

I am really surprised that a blog run by fans of Anderson Cooper would discuss this gossip, not to mention link to sites exploiting what is really his private life. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

@anonymous 8/18/12 5:47 AM the video was taken late Friday night August 17.

@anonymous /18/12 10:51 AM All Things Anderson respects Anderson. They are simply blogging what is happening. We don't know all the facts, but what we do know is that there were pictures of Ben kissing another guy and that Anderson subsequently spent a week with Ben in Croatia. If you think that is trashy, perhaps you should address your thoughts to Anderson.

As a long time reader and fan of Anderson's I think the difference this time, for me, is Anderson's personal life is being played out on a national level; on TV, in the tabloids and blogs. He has Ben to thank for that. What I've seen posted on ATA is only a small representation of what's out there.

When Anderson took on the talk show host role he put himself more in the public eye as a "celebrity" vs a newsman/reporter. People like to connect with talk show hosts on a more personal level. If Anderson truly wanted privacy, perhaps he should have stayed behind the anchor desk and made choices that kept his name out of the national news, tabloids, blogs, etc.

While I understand celebrities desire for privacy in their personal lives, that's just not the world we live in today, like it or not.

Having followed Anderson for many years, I can tell you there are a lot of photos and isolated articles about his personal life that have not been shared on this blog. I think the ladies of ATA have done a good job of walking the fine line of respecting Anderson's privacy vs not appearing to be in complete denial when a story like this happens.

I hope some of you first time commenters that are fans of Anderson's will come back to comment on a more regular basis. Comments/conversation make blogs more fun.

@Jenn 8/18/12 1:12 PM well, we also have Anderson to thank for that as well because he spent a week's vacation in a very nice place with Ben. Anderson didn't appear upset and will likely cause people to wonder why is Anderson staying with Ben after not only cheating, if that is what he did, but also for not being more discreet about it.

I see no problem with how ATA is handling this scandal. The site is called All Things Anderson. If they didn't mention anything about the scandal they'd be accused of being in denial. Good job ATA, keep up the good work :)

Truthfully ladies, this was a publicity stunt to get you to talk about Anderson....and you are.
He needed the publicity, personal or not, and he got it.
It's going to be very competitive this fall and he did what he thought was necessary to get people talking.
A bit tasteless perhaps, but that's showbiz and I agree, he certainly doesn't appear unhappy.

He may not look unhappy but other than them look like they are talking on the ship, the rest of the video it looks like the group with them are trying to keep them apart. JMO
