Anderson Cooper 360, Friday 12/28/12

Randi Kaye was back in the AC360 anchor chair this evening so will continue with our vintage Cooper family Christmas cards and related photos. Tonight we're sharing the Cooper family Christmas card from 1969 when Anderson was 2 ½ years old.

We're not sure just where in the Cooper abode this photo was taken but we're pretty sure this was during Gloria's 'American quilt period'.  We name it such because her extensive use of quilts in decorating and in her clothing.  Here's Gloria in a patchwork quilt robe:

She and Wyatt in quilt patterned clothing in front of the Christmas tree:

And then there were the walls, ceiling and floor of their master suite covered with American quilts: photo by Horst P. Horst from "Horst: Interiors"

And while we don't have a date for this last picture it seems to us that it was taken during this same Christmas season because Anderson looks to be around 2 ½ years old.

Gorgeous photo of toddler Anderson and his brother Carter; how many times have we seen him make this same expression as an adult?

Too many quilts! All those quilts on nearly every surface would drive me nuts in a very short time.
