Was it just me or was the gun piece with Randi Kaye a bit odd. It was just strange how when the police were searching that handcuffed guys car, they had the camera and light on him and she had the microphone up to his mouth when he clearly seemed upset. Also, when she was with the cop in his car, he seemed to be driving on a busy road and she didn't have her seat belt on and was just interviewing him casually, leaning on the dashboard.

@Anon 12:39 AM - I was watching Randi Kaye's report intently until seeing her in the car, sitting sideways with no seatbelt threw my mind off course. I began thinking about all the seatbelt PSAs I've seen - like a cutesy but message-getting one with dolls and a scary hard-hitting one from Australia. Maybe I'm easily distracted or maybe Kaye's report just wasn't that interesting.

The report about the Alabama hostage boy was pretty good. I'm on Gov. Christie's side in his fracas with the White House doctor; she scared his kids and Christie is justifiably mad.

Lance Armstrong again. The following report about older people using Armstrong-style performance enhancing drugs seemed out of place. It felt like a report CNN did when Lance Armstrong was the BIG news and so tangently-related stories were produced. This one by Kyung Lah wasn't broadcast before the Armstrong story went to the back burner but got on the air now but as filler.

I was surprised there wasn't a segment about the U.S. Post Office's 'no mail on Saturday' decision. It was major news on most other media outlets.

Thanks for posting the Swedish news interview; loved how the guy said "Kewper".

I found the segment on gun control in CA very interesting. And disturbing. I had no idea this was the only state that does at least try to take away guns from people who have lost their rights to own them and that they can't even keep up with it. Wow. Gun control in the USA is a freaking mess! In most western countries there is a nation-wide no tolerance policy.

The segment about the bunker and the conspiracy nutter was also interesting. By now it's clear the guy shouldn't have had any weapons at all.

Good to hear that there might me more consequences for Armstrong and not only in civil lawsuits.

And that bit about performance enhancing drugs to "stay young"? Brrr... that can't be healthy.

I'm still missing the international news. At the beginning of the week they had announced something about the humanitarian crisis in Syria and it never showed up. It's like someone is telling them to ditch certain topics or something. :(

Thanks so much for the Swedish video. Great find! :) I was hoping for something like this. It was great to get a peek behind the scenes and who would have thought it is possible for Anderson to just travel on his own and still do the show from any studio in the world that easily?

Haha, they were, right? Well, who can blame them... :) Did anyone understand what they said at the end? Sadly I only understand a bit of Swedish because there are some similarities to my language.

Not surprised Anderson's low-key and doesn't want a big entourage following him around when he's working/traveling overseas. I remember his producer Charlie Moore saying he was "no maintainenance". Thank you for uploading the Swedish interview.
