I came in late, during Anderson's interview with Michael Polensek. I will try to catch the 1 AM repeat to see if the Castro backyard photos are interesting.

Overall it was a good 360, there was a variety of news, a Bulletin and a Ridiculist. The segment about the Dept. of Justice getting journalists phone records was also halfway about the IRS allegedly targeting Tea Party 501c3 groups for scrutiny. I agree with Jeffrey Toobin, the report is not out yet, lets wait and see. Two points: 1. Of the 300 groups studied by the IRS, the Tea party groups make up only about a quarter of the total, and 2. shouldn't every group trying to get 501c3 status be scrutinized?

At the end of Anderson's interview with NOLA police chief Serpas, he asked if he thought people would come forward with information about the shooter at the Mom's Day parade. Serpas said he expected people would. I'd like to see a followup in a week or so to find out if anyone did or if no one did because of the "snitch" label.

Wow, the Castro brothers sure did clean up nicely. In their mug shots with jailed brother Ariel all three look like meth addicts. But talking to Savidge they looked like cool hedge fund managers.

Glad to see the Ridiculist back.

Tomorrow I want Minnesota mentioned. My state legislature just passed a bill legalizing gay marriage and Governor Dayton has promised to sign it Tuesday (in a nice big photo op flourish). We're going to be the 12th state (the second in the Midwest) to allow gay marriage. While I realize this isn't as huge as a southern state legalizing gay marriage, Anderson could say something about Michele Bachmann's comment that she would move out of the state if the bill passed. Oh please, just this once, Michele, keep true to your word.

I'm sorry to say what I wrote earlier about Rep. Bachmann is not true. Apparently, her threats to leave Minnesota if the state legalizes gay marriage were from a satire site and not reality. But it's so easy to imagine Bachmann saying that.

Good thing the level-headed Jeffrey Toobin was around to remind Anderson and Dana Bash that facts matter. Have they forgotten CNN's Boston bomber reporting debacle? No matter how much disdain AC may hold for the Obama Administration, he still needs to wait until a clearer picture emerges of what happened and why for both the AP and IRS stories through the upcoming investigations. He seemed to be chomping at the bit as he reported both of these stories.

Yesterday AC360 was not so good. The interview with the brothers was superficial, as well as other matters presented. The RidicuList was fun, but the program becomes tiring (for me) when there are many reviews on the same news. I prefer when the program is more dynamic.

They didn't return about Boston. What happens in the case now? I hope AC360 accompany the process until the end.
