The missing kids in Oregon is a very important and terrible story and I hope everything works out. The parents must be going through hell.

However, over on MSNBC the Hayes substitute was covering Obama, Putin, the summit, the non-meeting and various issues involved and had two smart women as the panel. I feel sorry for the parents of the missing kids but I stayed with MSNBC because it was smart international news and over on 360... it's a local crime story.

360 gave Obama/Putin two sentences in the Bulletin - the third story of the Bulletin.

With the second segment, more of the same on 360 or Richard Engel on MSNBC reporting on terror, Al Queda and the MidEast in general?

When Anderson did finally get to the Al Queda story, I had already gotten the scoop from Engel and stayed with MSNBC for a story on the economy, the deficit, debt ceiling, Detroit and NYC (Bloomburg, 'Do this my way or we'll end up like Detroit!')

Because the story on the unsuccessful-faith-healing parents seemed like just another crime story, I missed most of it but returned in time to see the panel with Dr. Arthur Caplan and Areva Martin. The discussion was the best part of show.

@Aries Moon - thanks for the info in your post yesterday regarding the short-lived 10 PM Anderson discussion show (was it only one week?). It's very difficult to find into about that show; internet searches bring up the new show and 'To the Point' with Donny Deutsch, but hardly anything about Anderson's roundtable show. Your post helped jog my memory about it.

I also agree with your comment about getting other names and faces on the new 10 PM show. I would love it if he had Dr. Caplan and gave him enough time to talk about various issues in biomedical ethics. That would be a great show.

Do we dare hope that the new 10 PM show won't be mostly crime stories?

@Jaanza, you're welcome. To be honest, I'm not even sure that the panel show will be in the same format as it was originally (pre-Zimmerman panels on 360 at 10), but I hope that's what we're actually getting because that had potential and promise if they really put effort into it and AC opens up and chimes in the way he did on the first panel shows.

AC looks like he wants to turn the hose on the photographer in the first pic. Not a happy camper.
