Hi! I love your blog. Can you please clip the discussion about releasing the Newtown tapes? Thanks so much!

Is it me or did anyone else feel like they were watching an episode of Inside Edition tonite?
The crack smoking mayor. Paul Walker's car crash. I feel like Syria has been abandoned by AC360. Also, I haven't heard anything about Detroit's bankruptcy. Jaanza.. Sorry if I misspelled your name. Just wondering if you are getting kickbacks from MSNBC for mentioning in your daily post how many times you switch over to Chris Hayes. In your blog on 12/3/13, you mentioned Hayes's show at least 4 times. Otherwise, you are the first post I look for when I come on this site. Your posts are very informative and well written.

I really hope they haven't cancelled AC360 Later. I really like the show.

Odd story selection on 360 tonight--I've given up expecting them to report any consequential news on President Obama, with the exception of negative news, so I knew they wouldn't cover his CAP speech which was called one of his best and most important speeches on the economy, income equality, etc. MSNBC showed the entire speech. The Newtown 911 call discussion was the only segment of any real significance. Why still talk about Rob Ford? Who cares? Most of the stories have no real impact on the majority of viewers--maybe 360's flailing and doesn't know which direction to take because of ratings troubles.

Don't know what happened to AC360 Later--Christianne Amanpour tweeted yesterday that she was scheduled for tonight--the same with Alison Stewart--I hope it will be coming back and airing on a more consistent basis.

@Anon 10:19 PM - Now that you mentioned it, I really should be getting kickbacks from MSNBC. A nice big check every time I mention Hayes somewhere on the web. That would be awesome but I don't think it will ever happen.
It must be irritating to come here hoping to read up on Anderson and 360 and see Hayes all over the place. I can understand that. However, during the hour I'm often over at MSNBC because 360 just isn't doing it for me.

Wednesday, for example, was a perfectly good 360. Anderson anchored well and there was a nice variety of news. This was the news lineup:

- The 911 call from the Newtown School shooting with a panel of Jeffrey Toobin, Christiane Amanpour and Dr. Drew.
- Brian Todd's report on stolen radioactive material recovered in Mexico and Anderson talking to Robert Baer about it.
- Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, possible extortion plot and the video buyout attempt.
- Olivia Wise, 16-year-old cancer victim who's rendition of 'Roar' got a response from Katy Perry. Anderson interviewed mom Kari Winegarden and sister.
- New information on actor Paul Walker's fatal car crash.
- Bulletin
- Ridiculist which wasn't so ridiculous; a man called 911 after being robbed of his turkey on Thanksgiving and the 911 dispatcher took up a collection for him.

As stated, all fine and good. However, I kept going over to Hayes. I won't detail his show except to say he had Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN, one of our best politicians) and a great segment about Liz Cheney.

One of the reasons for bringing up the competition is because there's been clues in the past that someone from 360 pays attention to the ATA blog. So maybe, just maybe, word will get back to Anderson and the 360 producers to step it up. I would be thrilled if Anderson had a segment on Liz Cheney and the Cheney family squabbles, especially with someone like Paul Begala (unlikely) or Candy Crowley (more likely). But I also agree 360 should do an update on Syria or explain the situation in Detroit.

Thanks for reading my posts. And you did spell my name correctly.

@10:23pm: Unfortunately for you, according to TVN and other news outlets, AC/360 later is to be dropped, just as soon as they find a replacement.
It has not done well in the ratings and the content is not terribly exceptional.
Anderson was given two slots when he was at the height of his popularity.
There obviously, is no need for it now.
