Been hoping AC would co-host with Kelly again since his talk show went off the air--he probably would've been more successful in daytime if he had been able to team up with her, but she's doing really well with Michael now. I still wish AC had the job though and Kelly probably does too--I think AC was her first choice.

Yes, AC was probably Kelly's choice BUT Disney over ruled her and Michael is doing really well.
Which just goes to show, Anderson
was not meant to be a host of a talk show.
Seems like Michael got Anderson's
dream job and Disney was right in their choice.

According to TVN, "CNN has lowest ratings in the DEMO in 20 months."
Looks like I'm not the only one really frustrated with CNN and Anderson.
Rachel Maddow, who does give her opinions, is wiping the floor with him.....and this is sourced.

Anonymous 9:07. I'm confused? Rachael Maddow is wiping the floor with Anderson?" How can this be when they don't air at the same time. Trust me. I always turn to Rachael at 9:00 p.m. after I finish with Anderson. Get your facts straight.

Anderson would've gotten the job with Kelly--timing was a problem--Regis had claimed he was retiring only to return and by that time AC had already signed up for his own talk show.

Still don't get the people (or person) who clearly dislikes Anderson intensely, but can't stay away from news about him or this blog. Some of us are disappointed with him and 360 at times but we (and this blog) are still here because we do have admiration for him. I will never understand the folks who only complain about him non-stop. There must be people out there that you can respect and admire--why waste so much time on someone you don't? Life is too short.

@Anon 8:56 - you better get your facts straight. Disney didn't over rule Kelly. Anderson wasn't available when Regis retired as he had signed a contract extension with CNN and a development deal with Telepictures (same parent company as CNN) a few weeks before Regis announced his retirement. Regis was in contract negotiations with Disney as he wanted to continue on Live, but they wanted him to take a big salary cut and they couldn't agree on terms and he suddenly announced he was leaving Live on air one morning. It even took Kelly by surprise.

Not to take anything away from Michael Strahan, I like him okay, but he walked into a situation totally different from Anderson did with his talk show. Live is well established with an established audience, and Gellman and their producers are top notch.

Telepictures on the other hand, tried to do Anderson's talk show on the cheap with an inexperienced staff and it showed.

If you are so dissatisfied with Anderson, perhaps it would be healthier for you, if you found someone you did like and quit visiting blog sites that are about Mr. Cooper and spewing negativity all the time.

Does anyone remember when Anderson last co hosted Live with Kelly? It seems like years ago. I never thought they would have him co host again since he probably wanted the job and Kelly wanted him. Seems kind of awarkard now. How long as Michael been co host now?

I have been waiting for this moment the SECOND Anderson was cancelled! Thanks ATA for covering it. You guys are awesome!

Jenn: I have my facts straight from the horses mouth.
In an interview with AC, when I did admire him, "HE SAID DISNEY NEVER ASKED HIM."
period.....end of story.
The Mole was on ABC if I remember correctly and that too was canceled.
Sorry if the facts related to Anderson bother you, but those are the facts.
And if they are negative, hey I don't write the ratings and most of the time I no longer comment about

@aries moon: You are clearly an intelligent person who does find fault with Anderson and his politics.
I don't get why you would forgive him and what he says about Obama and then watch him on day time and pursue him with interest.
There is a conflict there and I'm certain you are aware of it.
Most of the time we are on the same page politically, and I always enjoy your "take" on things because you are objective in your reasoning.
I always read your comments and truthfully, often skip the others.

I stand corrected.
Rachel isn't mopping the floor with AC....HAYES is mopping the floor with him.
According to TVN. Hayes got one million or better to Anderson's six hundred something...Go look everyone.
That's why Jaanza watches Hayes, because he's just more interesting and I agree with her!
Oh, wait, it isn't him, it's the content that he has nothing to do with.

Anon 10:57 pm, I have issues with AC and his coverage of the President (it's somewhat improved lately) but I'm also aware that most of the anchors/reporters on CNN have the same right-leaning take on POTUS (Soledad O'Brien was an exception) which leads me to believe that it may be more of a network decision (in order to compete with Fox News). I've watched Anderson for almost 10 years and while I disagree with some aspects of his show, yes, I still do enjoy watching him and am interested in his career and life and that's why I don't understand why you would even want to visit this blog when you have no real respect for him or his work. That's the difference here.
