Anderson Cooper 360 - The RidicuList: Burn + Salmon Cannon

Anderson Cooper anchored an expanded 2 hour edition of AC360 from the NYC studio and ended the program with a RidicuList ~

One of John Oliver's segments on the season finale of Last Week Tonight  was about a salmon cannon; which is apparently a real thing.  John had a little fun with the cannon at some people's expense, including Anderson.  Here's the entire segment ~

I was watching Last Week Tonight on Sunday and had a feeling AC would be part of the group of folks hit by the salmon. Too bad for AC that his stress-relieving candle is causing stress for his staff.

I got home late yesterday; 360 was already in its second hour. I missed the first segment. These are the topics Anderson covered in the rest of the second hour:
- the bodies of 40+ students/protesters found in Mexico
- two Americans released from North Korea
- ISIS leader wounded and the current/future state of the fight against ISIS
- newly released video of what happened to the 18 firefighters killed in an Arizona wildfire earlier this year
- the Ridiculist, candles in the office.

I had mixed reactions to the Ridiculist.
- No place I've ever worked allowed lit candles at the desk or anywhere in the office. Must be nice to be boss.
- Anderson left a lit candle at his desk? That is so wrong. Never ever leave a lit candle unattended.
- Anderson is so cute when he giggles.
- Some of the descriptions of Anderson's basil candle were really good. "Woodstock vomit", "Dumpster ravioli" and "Brothel in Tuscany" were my favorites.
- The clip from 'Ron Burgandy' wasn't needed.
- So Anderson hadn't seen anything about this Ridiculist before reading it for taping?
- Wow, Anderson is really good at getting the right speech mannerisms/deflections/tones when reading something right off the bat.
- Of course, Anderson did't write this Ridiculist. But I hope he creates at least some of them…come on, at least a third.

Thanks for the John Oliver clip. I wish it included more reactions, not just Homer Simpson's "Mmmm salmon." Maybe "Where did this salmon come from?" or "Hey! Free salmon!" or something.

First time I've laughed at the Ridiculist in awhile. Wonder who helped him pick out the candle, next time try Sage.
