Yesterday I said if there was no big news Thursday on the crash of Flight 9525, Anderson should devote less than half of 360 to talking about this topic.
When I heard the news about the co-pilot making the plane crash, I knew coverage of it on 360 was going to be more than a half-hour. It was the whole hour (of the first hour, I didn't watch the second); no Bulletin, no time to mention of Saudi Arabia bombing Yemen.

It was indeed good coverage of Flight 9525 and a terrific 360 if that was the only topic you wanted to hear about. After the first segment I checked out Hayes and other programs but did see the following on 360:
- Maria Magney report on the latest news about the co-pilot
- panel with Richard Quest, David Soucie, Don Stock and Peter Goelz
- Gary Tuchman report on the cockpit door and overall plane safety
- two other plane crashes caused deliberately by the pilot/co-pilot report by Randi Kaye
- Nic Robertson report from France on the families visiting near the site, the memorial, the search and recovery mission
- the possibility of terrorism causing the crash discussed by Frances Townsend, Richard Quest and Tom Fuentes
- remembering the victims, nice video of names and faces set, of course, to opera music.

Hayes covered 9525 for his first segment and a variety of news after that. I'm gong to miss that guy on days like this when 360 is all-disaster reporting.
