Anderson Cooper 360 on Tuesday, June 16, 2015

Anderson anchored a taped edition of AC360 on Tuesday night.

In one of the panel segments from last (Monday) night's AC360,  Anthony Gangi, a former corrections officer, got a little heated in a discussion with Jeff  Toobin.  Toobin handled himself well.

The reason AC360 was taped tonight, Anderson hosted the amfAR Inspiration gala honoring his friend, Andy Cohen...

Anderson walked the red carpet....

And with his partner, Benjamin....

Part of my prediction yesterday about Tuesday's 360 came true. The show did start with the NY escaped convicts and news on Joyce Mitchell. Again, Randi Kaye had the report. For the panel Anderson talked to Denny DePaul, John Cuff and Mary Ellen O'Toole.

I predicted there would be coverage of Rachel Dolezal and her interviews earlier in the day. But three segments? Were three totally necessary? For the first one there was a clip from Dolezal's interview with Matt Lauer and then a discussion with Charles Blow, Michaela Angela Davis and another woman.
The next segment was more information on Dolezal's background and an interview with another adopted black brother.
And then more from Lauer's interview with Dolezal and Anderson talked to Donald Harris, a white guy who's President of the Maricopa County AZ chapter of the NAACP, about the idea of white people being in the NAACP.

There wasn't a crime or flood story as I predicted but instead there was another report on the sharks off the North Carolina coast. Anderson talked to George Burgess on the phone. I changed the channel and came back when the Bulletin was on. The four blips I saw were Berkeley University balcony collapse, baseball computer hacking/spying, the FDA and trans fats and hundreds of crabs on a California beach.

At the very end of the show there was a five-secnd goodbye. Right after was Don Lemon, moved up an hour and previewing his show which apparently was going to be lots and lots on the NY convicts and Dolezal.
Over on MSNBC, Rachel Maddow was starting her show. She was absolutely exultant about all the political news that happened today. Earlier I saw Hayes have fun - MST3K style - analyzing Donald Trump's presidential run announcement. Imagine what fun Anderson could have if he chose to cover Trump's presidential bid.

@Aries Moon - Regarding my post yesterday about a segment on Jeb Bush during Monday's show. When I posted my second comment I forgot that Monday's 360 was two hours. The segment on Jeb must have been in the second hour and that's why I didn't see it.

Thanks for the photos from AMFAR, Anderson looks great.

AC seems really bored and not engaged on Ac360. I think he's just going through the motions because its his job to be honest. He doesn't seem interested and wants something new.
