There is no reason to malign an entire movement dedicated to making sure that police behave responsibly and professionally just to argue that their "rhetoric" caused the death of a police officer--the majority of people who support the Black Lives Matter movement are not pushing for violence towards officers, only better policing and more accountability. Using the recent murder of the officer to silence BLM protesters who have legitimate concerns about police brutality is shameful, as was the behavior of the protesters who were shouting out despicable slogans against the police during a march. The man who killed the officer will be punished as he should be but I also can't forget the unarmed black citizens who were shot by bad cops who were never held accountable for their actions and basically got away with murder--anyone who believes in fairness and justice must have their voices heard. I appreciated Charles Blow and Sunny Hostin's strong pushback against the repulsive racist Harry Houck--he does law enforcement no favors whenever he opens up his mouth. I'm not sure why CNN wants him on the air, he'd be better suited for Fox. There are many who have been waiting for an incident like this to occur so that the public will turn on the Black Lives Matter movement and no longer hear them out, but I'm pretty certain they will not be silenced for a long time to come. AC's compassionate sentiments towards the slain officer, his family and law enforcement in general were on sharp display during the segments on the shooting.

Lots of political discussions and a surprisingly lengthy segment on Democratic politics in the second hour. Randi Kaye's reports on Trump's tweets and Hillary Clinton's riches were a waste of time, however. If Mitt Romney can be mega-rich and run for president, so can Hillary--what matters most are the differences in POLICY.

Not sure what to make of the Katrina embryo rescue report--something about it didn't sit right with me--I guess it sort of came across as a pro-life report in disguise because of some comments the mom made. Maybe I'm just jumping to conclusions though.

I know CNN gets mocked for its MH370 coverage, but I'm still interested in what happened to that plane and enjoy the reporting--it's still so confounding and now it looks like they might be back to square one according to Martin Savidge's report. Crazy.

I skipped AC360 yesterday to watch the U.S. Open tennis. Seems like I made the right decision... another cop was killed today and don't know about BLM movement involvement will say some of their rhetoric is very um.. abrasive and violent towards cops I have been to a few rallies personally and the language is very abrasive but no one force this POS, coward to do what he did. I hope he pays dearly for this vicious act of cowardice. Truth is cops are under attack and we need to support them, fact is cops are our first line of defense on many cases. So we need to support the good ones and those who are bad should be punished. These cops who are being killed have families, friends etc and compassion is needed. For once the media need to stop talking about race and come together to protect our good officers and bring these killers to justice. Anyone defending this maniac in Texas really need to do some soul searching and seek help. I would like The President to denounce these actions more and the media as well to report just as throughly as they do when cops take a life. I'm all for far reporting and coverage. I hate double standards.

USA TODAY IS REPORTING THAT LIZ AND DICK CHENEY HAVE WRITTEN A BOOK ABOUT HOW THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION FAILED DOMESTICALLY AND ABROAD.
REALLY?
OBAMA VOTED AGAINST THE WAR THAT CHENEY VOTED FOR, AND OBAMA FAILED US, NOT DICK??
HOW CAN THIS GOP, SENIOR MORON WRITE A BOOK AND HAVE IT PUBLISHED AND BLAME OBAMA? WASN'T IT THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION, WHICH FEATURED NONE OTHER THAN DICK CHENEY FOR TWO TERMS, AS THE VICE PRESIDENT,
AND SPARKED THE WORST RECESSION SINCE THE GREAT DEPRESSION, AND PRESIDENT OBAMA FAILED THE AMERICAN PEOPLE?
THIS BOOK SHOULD BE BOYCOTTED BY EVERY MEDIA OUTLET ON THE NATIONAL SCENE. BUT WE ALL KNOW FOX WILL
INTERVIEW CHENEY AND HIS PATSY DAUGHTER, LIZ, AND THEN ALL THE NETWORKS WILL WANT "IN" ON THE 'GET', SO THERE YOU HAVE IT. TODAY ANYONE CAN WRITE ANYTHING AND GET IT PUBLISHED, EVEN IF THERE ISN'T THE SLIGHTEST BIT OF TRUTH IN IT, AND THEY'LL MAKE MONEY.
BUT THE ONE FACT THE "AMERICAN PEOPLE" NOW KNOW, IS WHY OUR FORMER VP IS NAMED "DICK."
