Anderson Cooper anchored AC360 from the NYC studio on Thursday night.  One segment was on a bizarre new twist in the case of the Fox Lake, IL cop that committed suicide:

Again gobs of time spent covering Russian flight 9268. Today Obama did say a bomb was a possibility but that was the only *new* news today. After Anderson's overview, he talked to Pamela Brown and then Ben Wedeman before getting to a panel with Ali Soufan and a woman with the last name Kaygen (name flashed on-screen for a mere nanosecond).

The second segment focused on airport security. Anderson talked to Ben Lee and then a panel with Richard Quest and another guy (another nanosecond name flash).

Next another 9268-related segment, this one on the Sinai peninsula, the rebels/ISIS there and the U.S. troops on the ground trying to keep everything safe. There was a report by Brian Todd and Anderson's interview with retired Adm. Bill McRaven. I checked out Hayes.

It wasn't just Hayes but also football which kept me from watching the segment on Officer Gliniewicz, who not only committed suicide but also tried to hire a hitman on a city administrator who was finding out how corrupt he was. I saw and read plenty on this earlier in the day.

Other than news on the line-up for the next GOP debate, this one on the FOX business channel, the political news of the day concentrated on Sen. Marco Rubio. Rubio's been sloppy with a credit card given to him by Florida's Republican Party; too many personal charges. Drew Griffin had the report.

In the last minute Anderson recapped the possible changes in airport security because of 9268.

@Anonymous ALL CAPS - it was a compliment. I didn't see the correlations between Anderson fawning over McCain and then doing the same to Trump. It's odd there hasn't been any Trump news yesterday and today so it's hard to say how Anderson feels about Trump since Tuesday when Trump complained about Anderson's handling of the Democratic debate.
And your comment now has me thinking Russian flight 9268 is Anderson's new Malaysian flight 370 which Anderson spent too many oodles of time on last year. Currently he's spending way more time on 9268 than other news programs.

I don't have a problem with the all caps but have used that label to individualize you from the other anonymous posters. Can you give yourself a name in Google? When I set up my account everything close to my name and initials were already taken so I just had to keep making the name more garbled to make it unique. But my real name does start with "J".

WHY IS EVERYONE SO CAUGHT UP IN THE WAY CARLY FIARINA LOOKS? THE LADIES OF "THE VIEW" HAD HER ON
SATELLITE AND ALL OF THEM POUNCED ON HER SAYING SHE SHOULD SMILE MORE EVEN WHEN SHE WAS CALLED
"DEMENTED." WHAT? DON'T GET ME WRONG I AM NO FAN OF CARLY'S AND I DON'T THINK CONSERVATIVE WOMEN
ARE HELD TO A HIGHER STANDARD THAN DEMOCRATIC WOMEN. IT ISN'T OUR FAULT PAT NIXON NEVER UTTERED
A WORD IN PUBLIC, THE WHOLE TIME HER HUSBAND WAS PRESIDENT. NOW THAT'S CONSERVATIVE.
BUT WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE WAY CARLY APPEARS?? SHE'S NOT A GLAMOUR PUSS BUT SHE SEEMS QUITE ABLE
TO DEBATE THE BOZO'S OF THE GOP. SO DONALD TRUMP WOULDN'T CROWN HER MISS UNIVERSE. HE WOULDN'T PLACE
A CROWN ON HILLARY'S HEAD EITHER FOR THAT MATTER.
AND WHAT'S WITH BEN CARSON'S BIZARRE COMMENTS ABOUT CUBA?? IS HE SELF MEDICATING? HE HAS TO STOP
HIS STRANGE ANALOGIES BECAUSE THEY JUST DON'T MAKE SENSE. HIS LATEST IS "IF WE DIDN'T HAVE FOX
NEWS, WE'D BE LIKE CUBA. REALLY? WHAT DOES FOX NEWS HAVE TO DO WITH CUBA?
THIS MAN IS RUNNING FOR THE HIGHEST OFFICE IN THE LAND AND HE'S SPEAKING NONSENSE. MAYBE
THAT'S WHY HE USUALLY WHISPERS. NOW THAT WE'RE HEARING HIM, I HAVE A MUCH LOWER OPINION OF HIM,
AND IT WAS PRETTY LOW TO BEGIN WITH.
