On Wednesday the first two segments were on Chicago cop Van Dyke, the police cover-up and gun violence in that city.
First was the news of a very possible police cover-up concerning what really happened to Laquan McDonald. The police chief was fired and there may be a Dept. of Justice investigation. There was also mention of the 9-year-old who was killed because of his father's gang activities. Anderson talked to Father Michael Pfleger and Charles Blow about all these topics.

Next was a clip from Anderson's lengthy report on Chicago gun violence; a clip in which he talked to three Chicago moms affected by gun deaths. The panel here was Harry Houck and Van Jones. Jones brought up several good points. I didn't get Houck's comment that the year-long delay in releasing the McDonald dashcam video was the fault of Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

"Any publicity is good publicity" is the old adage. Another is "The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about." So here was today's Trump segment, still analyzing his 9/11 comment. I watched long enough to hear Anderson say Trump was twisting what a columnist wrote back in Sept. 2001 about Muslims celebrating in Gaza/West Bank. I didn't stay for the panel. I don't want to give Trump more attention than he deserves. The above two quotes are now affecting the other GOP candidates; they've started saying ridiculous and/or stupid things just to get a tiny beam of the spotlight.

Although it looks like Hillary Clinton gets time on 360 only if the news on her is negative (or can be slanted that way), I was glad to see Jennifer Granholm in the panel. Hillary has released more emails, some concern Benghazi, the GOP is screaming "COVER-UP" because they say the Benghazi news was handled in a way that wouldn't hurt Obama's re-election. Granholm got the better of Jeffrey Lord; she pointed out there was nothing essentially new in the new emails and nothing in them is a big deal. Instead of arguing about the content of the new emails, Lord went on and on about Hillary's 'long-time' 'reputation' as a liar and public opinion thinks she's untrustworthy. Granholm responded by touting the public opinion polls among GOPers (including Lord's diseased pumpkin Trump) and the lack of truth and facts in many of the GOPers comments (especially Trump).

Randi Kaye reported on the mysterious death of Juneau AK Mayor Fisk. I watched Hayes.

The last minute was devoted to a Bulletin. The first blip was on U.S. forces being sent to Iraq to fight ISIS. This was bigtime news elsewhere, even a lead story on other CNN programs but only a blip on 360.

Over on MSNBC Rachel Maddow opened her show with the brand new news of Jeb Bush hinting he might choose a woman as his vice president if he gets the nomination. Will this story get any time on 360 tomorrow? Or is Jeb too unimportant now... that is, unimportant unless he's talking about Trump (that's the only reason Christie was on 360 on Tuesday).

ENOUGH. I DON'T WANT TO HEAR HOW SORRY PRESIDENT OBAMA IS AND HOW WE ARE ALL GOING TO HAVE TO
PRAY AND WHO DID IT FOR WHATEVER FOOLISH REASON AND WHETHER THEY WERE FOREIGN TERRORISTS OR HOME
GROWN TERRORISTS WHO HAD NO JOBS AND WERE FROM DIVORCED FAMILIES, AND MENTAL ILLNESS RUNS IN THEIR'
FAMILY. NEITHER DO I CARE IF THIS WAS A FRINGE GROUP OF EXTREMISTS WHO SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE WATCH LIST BUT FOR SOME STRANGE REASON NOBODY WAS WATCHING.
ENOUGH:THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES NEEDS TO CALL WAYNE LA PIERRE INTO HIS OVAL OFFICE 'YESTERDAY,' AND TELL HIM TO BRING THE REST OF THE NRA BOARD OF DIRECTORS AT HIS COMMAND. HE HAS THE
HIGHEST OFFICE IN THE LAND AND NO OTHER NATION IS FACED WITH THIS VIOLENCE.
AND THEN HE SETS THE AGENDA. NOT THEM....OBAMA DOES IT, AND IT GOES LIKE THIS. "WE ARE HERE TO MODIFY
THE SECOND AMENDMENT. BRING ME YOUR PROPOSALS. THEY MUST BE UP TO DATE ABOUT GUN CONTROL. NOW."
AND BIDEN AND THE CIA AND FBI AND SECRET SERVICE SHOULD BE PRESENT AS WELL.
WHEN THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES CALLS YOU, YOU COME.
WILL IT WORK? MAYBE.....AT LEAST IT IS WORTH A TRY AND YOU BETTER BELIEVE RESPECT WOULD FLOW
ACCORDINGLY, WHICH HE DOES NOT HAVE NOW.
THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENCY IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT. PERIOD
AND IF CONGRESS DOESN'T LIKE IT, THEY CAN ALL BACK TO THEIR STATES AND TWIDDLE THEIR THUMBS BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THEY DO NORMALLY.

"NO OTHER NATION IS FACED WITH THIS VIOLENCE."

That's not exactly true. Do we have more Mass shootings than other 1st world countries? Yes. But to say we have more than everybody in the whole world? Uhm... What about the Middle East in general? Also I just thought the fact that Obama said the same thing at the Paris COP21 meeting weeks after the terrorist attack in Paris was laughable. You're really going to say that after a country which outlaws guns just had a mass shooting? And yes I realize that it was a terrorist attack and Obama is probably talking about non terrorist violence. But either way its just a false statement and I'm not even pro-guns.

Gun laws are not going to be passed, especially now. The more shootings happen the more people feel the need to own weapons. They also just released a report saying that Gun sales have skyrocketed and I honestly don't blame people.

@UNICORNS: 80% OF THE PUBLIC WANTS GUN CONTROL. THEY DON'T WANT EXCUSES LIKE "LOOK AT THE MIDDLE
EAST." THE MIDDLE EAST IS CERTAINLY NO ROLE MODEL! WHY NOT LOOK AT ACTUAL DEMOCRACIES LIKE ENGLAND,
GERMANY AND YES, FRANCE.
AS LONG AS GUNS ARE AVAILABLE PEOPLE WILL BUY THEM. NO ONE NEEDS AN ASSAULT RIFLE TO PROTECT THEMSELVES. NO ONE. SHOULD THESE DISABLED PEOPLE HAVE HAD THEM OR WERE OTHERS THE TARGET?
WHO CARES. I PERSONALLY DON'T WANT TO HEAR THE WORD NO.
NO, IS NOT THE ANSWER OR IS, "WE CAN'T." "NOW IS NOT THE TIME....WHEN IS THE TIME?
LEADERSHIP IS WHAT WE NEED NOW MORE THAN EVER AND WE ALL KNOW OUR INEPT CONGRESS HAS ZERO LEADERSHIP BECAUSE THE NRA OWNS THEM.
SO LET'S ALL BUY GUNS, WITH YOUR LOGIC....AND DO WHAT?
WE NEED GRASSROOTS ACTION AND A PRESIDENT WILLING TO STAND UP TO CONGRESS....THE PROBLEM IS THE
NRA HAS "BOUGHT ALMOST ALL THE LEGISLATORS" IN CONGRESS. DO WE ACTUALLY KNOW IF OUR PRESIDENT DIDN'T SUPPORT THEM? SOME DEMOCRATS DID.
IT IS NONSENSE TO USE YOUR LOGIC. THIS IS A FACT: NO ONE NEEDS ASSAULT WEAPONS TO PROTECT HIMSELF. NO ONE, AND THE SECOND AMENDMENT NEEDS TO BE MODIFIED.... AND WAYNE LA PIERRE HAS BLOOD ON HIS HANDS AND HE, MORE THAN ANY OTHER NRA MEMBER, NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR ALL ASSAULT RIFLES BOUGHT LEGALLY....ALL OF THEM AND THE LOOP HOLE THAT OBAMA WAS SPEAKING ABOUT: A SUSPECT CAN'T FLY ON A PLANE BUT HE CAN BUY A GUN LEGALLY IS NONSENSE. IT NEEDS TO BE STRUCK NULL AND VOID, YESTERDAY!

Well first of all I never said the we should all own guns. I even wrote in my comment that I'm not pro-guns. I was just pointing out that your statement about the US having the worst Gun violence issue in the entire world is false. But I get the feeling that you're not really rational, since you didn't even read my comment correctly.

@UNICORNS: YOU'RE OVERLY SIMPLISTIC RESPONSE IS TOTALLY ANNOYING AND I DID READ YOUR COMMENT.
