Anderson Cooper 360 on Friday, January 15, 2016

The very capable John Berman was in the AC360 anchor chair for Anderson Cooper on Friday night.  Anderson is on the West Coast with Andy Cohen for three shows on the AC2 Live Tour this weekend.

Anderson was in the news last night and today for donating lifesaving vests for all K9 members of a Virginia Police Department.

VERY HAPPY THAT AC HAS MADE THIS LARGE DONATION FOR CANINE VESTS. THESE DOGS CONTINUE TAKING THE
SAME RISK AS ANY HUMAN AND DESERVE ONLY THE BEST IN OUTFITTED PROTECTION.
CANINES ARE OFTEN OUR FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE AND SHOULD BE TREATED ACCORDINGLY.

Today I was home and could watch Anderson on 360 Instead John Berman was anchoring. Here are the news stories I saw Berman cover:

- a hotel was attacked in Burkino Faso, 20+ killed, Al Queda claimed responsibility, Barbara Starr and Robert Baer discussed
- Cruz's "New York Values" comment, Trump's response, Jim Acosta reported from Iowa, a few pundits analyzed
- some in the GOP want a smaller number of candidates as a way to move Trump (and Cruz) out of the field, John King crunched the numbers on how that would or wouldn't work, Rich Galen and Ana-Malika Henderson talked
- Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and the Iowa primary, discussed by Paul Begala and Katrina vanden
- the charges against Bill Cosby, a ten-year-old deposition he gave which might protect him now, Micheal Smerconish answered Berman's questions.

Oddly, the Marine helicopter crash off of Hawaii wasn't included. Otherwise Berman did a good job.

Anderson's donation to the Norfolk VA police department for bullet-proof vests for their police dogs is AWESOME!!! Loved the photos of Anderson and the police puppy, both are so cute.
I can't donate on Anderson's level but I do donate a much smaller amount a few times a year to the local Humane Society. That's where I got Inky. I'll make another donation to them in honor of Anderson's gift to the Norfolk police dogs.
