Anderson Cooper 360 on February 5, 2016

Anderson Cooper anchored an expanded two hour edition of AC360 from a CNN studio and not the back of a U-Haul in New Hampshire!   The program was all political with the exception of an AC360 News Bulletin at the end of the first hour.  More of Anderson's interview with The Donald was aired, some new, some a repeat from last night.  We found this part interesting for Anderson's quick reaction ~

Friday's 360 started with a Q&A with Jim Acosta mostly on Trump it seemed. Tom Foreman was back with new poll numbers to talk about with brand new graphics, having them in 2D on the Magic Wall just wasn't magical enough. I liked the panel with John King, Gloria Borger and David Challen mostly for the comments on Trump campaigning in South Carolina instead of New Hampshire because of the weather. Snowstorm schmostorm - the other candidates are in NH but apparently Trump is afraid of snow. The panel also discussed Rubio, Jeb, Christie, Sanders and Hillary.

The "Attack Politics" report this time was only on Hillary and Sanders. There were several clips from yesterday's MSNBC Democratic Debate and more details from Jeff Zeleny. Anderson also talked to Bill Press and Michael Nutter, they talked a lot about Hillary accepting donations from Wall Street. Don't Republican candidates do that too? Is it not a problem for them? Anderson, Press and Nutter went on about changing votes because of donations, a topic I'd like to see the GOPers face scrutiny on.

Yesterday I wrote I had a feeling there'd be gobs more from Anderson's Trump interview.

Yep, two gobs more for two segments. I didn't watch.

Randi Kaye repeated her 'talking to folks in a diner asking if they know the candidates by their faces' report, this time in a New Hampshire diner. It was alright but two negatives stood out. Kaye questioned the same four guys over and over. Weren't there any women at the diner? Also, Kaye pointed out that the only two candidates the guys all knew were Trump and Hillary. Well, if they only watch 360 I can understand that; none of the other candidates get any attention.

Anderson started the second hour with news of Jeb bringing his mom Barbara Bush on his campaign trail. Sounds like an act of desperation if you ask me. I didn't watch the second hour.

HAD TO LAUGH ABOUT YOUR CNN COMMENT:" IF THEY ONLY WATCH CNN, TRUMP AND HILLARY ARE THE ONLY TWO CANDIDATES RUNNING."
YES, THAT IS TRUE, EXCEPT THAT RANDY KAYE SEEMED TO HAVE CLEARLY CHOSEN YOUNG MEN WHO LOOKED THE
PART OF STUPID AND ILLITERATE. THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT CNN WANTED HER TO DO.
MOST YOUNG PEOPLE TODAY ARE FAR MORE EXPOSED AND ENGAGED IN THE NEWS, THROUGH THE USE OF THE INTERNET AND TABLETS,
THAN EVER BEFORE. SO IF YOU'RE GOING TO "GO WITH STUPID," YOU'LL GET STUPID.
