One line that made reports of the event:

Anderson Cooper doesn’t like Sports
“I’m gay, and my eyes just glazed over,” the CNN host said when Barkley embarked on a rant about the NBA playoffs.

Anderson also recorded a segment with John Moore of  Moore In The Morning radio program while in Toronto Sunday:

I was two minutes late to Wednesday's 360 and couldn't ever get into the show. There was a report on Bernie Sanders' rallies in progress. The on-screen title was "Dem Tensions Rise Amid Party Split". The report included news on violence at between Sanders' and Clinton's supporters and a look ahead at the national convention. Then the Panel of Too Many Pundits filled the screen; seven this time. I just wasn't interested in their opinions and went elsewhere in TVLand.

The second segment started the Trump coverage. Anderson mentioned a new poll that had Trump over Clinton but the topic here was Trump's list of possible SCOTUS nominees. After a very good but way too short Q&A with Jeffrey Toobin, the panel was at it again. I went to Hayes and when I checked back on 360, Patrick Healy was saying something negative about Trump. The odd thing was that half of the screen was on Kaleith McEnany (looking both angry and confused) as if she alone was the Trump stand-in or surrogate or substitute in the room. Hayes meanwhile was interviewing Barbara Rus, a former Trump employee who had many comments in Sunday's NY Times article about Trump and women.

Next segment was Trump's foreign policy and his meeting with Henry Kissinger. Anderson talked to Mike Rogers about both. The viewers would have been better served if Anderson kept talking to Rogers for the rest of the segment (just as the second segment should have been only Toobin). But no... the panel came back. I went away.

I also wasn't interested in hearing the panel discuss Trump's new guy for vetting a Veep; the same guy who did the same job for McCain in 2008. So it was another "Bye Bye" to 360. Leaving was justified because when I checked in a couple minutes later, Christine Quinn was stating Trump was unprepared to be Commander-in-Chief compared to Hillary Clinton. Quinn would have said more on that but Anderson cut her off to ask Healy a question about how successful the Trump campaign has been even though Trump has no foreign policy experience. I was disgusted by that and left 360 again.

The last segment of the first hour was a Drew Griffin report, one in which he talked to a group of 8 or 9 Trump supporters. I noted that there were only two women in the group. I watched Hayes interview Larry Wilmore, the 'Nightly Show' guy who recently spoke at the White House Correspondents Dinner.

The second hour started with Trump. Nope.

Rating reports are saying CNN/360 gets higher ratings for focusing on Trump. I don't care, I don't want to watch excessive Trump glorification.

I was very annoyed with Anderson continuously interrupting or cutting off Christine Quinn and the other non-Trump lovers on the panel as they were trying to make their points but allowing McEnany to ramble on and on and trying to make sure she got the last word (she didn't for once). Carl Bernstein's Hillary Clinton bias has become tiresome--he couldn't open his mouth without criticizing her and going relatively easy on the real menace that is Trump. Trump has become the RNC's puppet, they're making the decisions and pulling the strings but AC and other media folk would have us believe that Trump has somehow matured overnight and is capable of making sound choices for his campaign--meanwhile the eminently qualified and capable Hillary Clinton gets nothing but scorn and doubt from AC and his panel. When Hillary Clinton decided to run for president, it was said that the press would go into overdrive helping the GOP discredit and destroy her chances of reaching the White House. Seems like they're starting that up now.

I watched the first minute of 360, but when Cooper started with HRC losing ground I switched the channel.

In the Toronto interview, AC talked about how he covered LGBT issues and made sure that the reporting was accurate and fair. What happened? LGBT issues are MIA on 360 these days, not even in the bulletin. Most other news programs/anchors can report on the political issues of the day and LGBT issues. AC has given up on one of them.

As always he and CNN move to a different cause when the ratings start to sag. What happened to we will never forget?

I found it interesting that when one of the panelists said they didn't trust anything FOX put out when discussing the new FOX poll put out on the race between Clinton and Trump, Anderson came back with CNN found the poll to be trusted. The party composition of the Fox News poll is +1 Republican. The party composition of the actual electorate in 2012 was +6 Democratic, so the fact is the FOX poll is biased Republican, but I guess that didn't fit CNN/AC360's narrative of Trump beating Hillary. Guess you can take fair and accurate reporting out of their tag line, but then again I think most of us knew that.

I've respected Carl Bernstein for a long time from back in the day when he and Bob Woodward broke the Watergate Cover Up for the Washington Post. I know he's been hard on Hillary, but he's no fan of Trump's or anyone in particular. I liked his idea of a documentary on each of the candidates so people could see the big picture instead of the minutia that gets covered on cable news. AC and the NYT reporters seemed to be taken aback by that. I guess educating viewers/readers for an informed electorate isn't their goal? And Bernstein did have the best like of the night when Kayleigh was rambling on about Trump and Carl said "Good luck selling that!" She kept rambling on and of course AC didn't do a follow up question to delve deeper into Bernstein's comment. His precious Kayleigh always gets the last word!

And the NYT has never been fair in their reporting of the Clinton's dating back years and more recently with Hillary, so if Anderson/AC360 thinks they are fooling viewers by bringing in the NYT people to look impartial, they are sorely mistaken.

THE OLD SAYING "YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW," IS SO TRUE AND THE MEDIA HAS BEEN SO COMPLICIT IN "ENDORSING TRUMP" RIGHT FROM DAY ONE, THAT IF AND WHEN THE UGLY HAPPENS, AND TRUMPS ENTERS
THE WHITE HOUSE, EVERY TIME THEY REPORT ON ONE OF TRUMP'S MANY, MANY, FAILURES, IT WILL BE THEIR
FAULT AND ANDERSON WILL ALSO HAVE "BLOOD ON HIS NICE CLEAN HANDS."
WE WILL JUST HAVE TO REMIND HIM.

DON LEMON REPORTED THAT THE TWO CANDIDATES, TRUMP AND HILLARY WERE ASKED TO RESPOND ABOUT THE
CRASH OF THE EGYPTIAN AIR PLANE. HILLARY'S RESPONSE WAS FAIR AND BALANCED AND SHE SAID SHE
THOUGHT IT WAS TERRORISM. TRUMP'S REPLAY WAS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND THE MEDIA SHOULD HOLD HIM ACCOUNTABLE: TRUMP SAID "ASK HILLARY. SHE'S TOTALLY UNFIT TO BE PRESIDENT."
AND LEMON JUST WENT ON AS THOUGH THIS RESPONSE WAS PERFECTLY ADEQUATE FOR A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE.
HE SHOULD HAVE SAID: SHE'S UNFIT??? HOW ABOUT YOU SIR?
YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT TERRORISM OR WHERE EGYPT IS LOCATED, OR HOW IT EVEN RELATES TO PARIS, FRANCE.
YES, THE MEDIA IS COMPLICIT AND GUILTY AND SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS IN
OUR FUTURE. NO ONE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO GET AWAY WITH WHAT TRUMP HAS GOTTEN AWAY WITH.
HE IS ILL INFORMED, INCOMPETENT, AND UNQUALIFIED. IN EVERY PROFESSION/JOB YOU NEED TO APPLY
AND HAVE SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS, BUT NOT THE PRESIDENCY OF THE UNITED STATES? UNBELIEVABLE!
