There's something odd about AC having Julian Assange on when the guy clearly has an anti-Hillary agenda and is deliberately trying to derail her campaign. AC said something about not wanting to be seen as defending Hillary Clinton but apparently he doesn't have a problem with interviewing someone who wants to take her down.

Couldn't Anderson have an intelligent conversation with Doug Elmets without shoveling in Jeff Lord to defend Trump? I'm so sick of Lord.

Scottie Nell Hughes is another one of CNN's awful Trump surrogates--she's loud and obnoxious and wears way too much makeup.

We're in agreement Aries Moon concerning Scottie Neil Hughes' makeup. On the bright side I it's so distracting that it usually doesn't register what she's saying.

LOL Phebe, good point!

SCOTTIE NEIL HUGHES DOESN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT SHE'S SAYING WITH OR WITHOUT MAKEUP.
AND THE OTHER TRUMPETTE KAY LEIGH, BLESS HER SOUL, HAS TO HAVE SOME KIND OF EATING DISORDER.
SHE WAS WEARING BLACK THE OTHER NIGHT AND YOU COULD SEE THE BONES BENEATH HER DRESS.
POOR THING IS REALLY WORRIED 'DADDY' MAY LOSE.
IN AN OP ED FROM WAPO, THE DNC PUT ON "A THEATRICAL PERFORMANCE FIT FOR A BROADWAY OPENING"....IT WAS THAT ENTERTAINING. GOOD FOR THEM AND THE DNC RATINGS FOR THE WEEK
WERE HIGHER THAN THE RNC, THOUGH HILLARY HAD LESS OF AN AUDIENCE THAN DID THE DUCK.
THAT'S BECAUSE EVERYONE WANTS TO SEE THE TRAIN WRECK, LIVE. IT DOESN'T MEAN "THE QUACK" WILL GET MORE
VOTES COME NOVEMBER.

Better late than never?

Friday's 360 opened with "FBI Investigating Hack Of Clinton Campaign Data" with a report and Q&A with Jeff Zeleny. Jason Carroll reported from the Trump campaign in Colorado Springs CO about Trump's "No more Mr. Nice Guy" comment - and totally letting slide any remark that Trump has NOT been a nice guy throughout this campaign, Trump's latest target Michael Bloomberg's because of Bloomberg's excellent DNC speech shredding Trump and letting slide Trump's remark that he "has the best temperament of anyone" who's run for President.
During the panel, John Jay Lavelle and Scottie Neil Hughes completely defended Trump acting like a brat because "he's rolling out his message" and "he's keeping people excited". There was more about the campaigns from Maria Cordona, Marc Lamont Hill and Maggie Haberman, who pointed out "usually the more optimistic message wins".

The title at the start of the second segment was "One Country, Two Views" and had a montage of Trump and Hillary Clinton saying opposite opinions of the same issues. The panel started, I left.

Doug Elmets, former Reagan staffer, and Jeffrey Lord, some kind of past with Reagan but currently well-known as a Trump parrot, debated in 360's third and fourth segments. Elmets spoke at the DNC ("Donald Trump, you're no Ronald Reagan!"). Anderson played a pro-immigration clip of Reagan, Elmets to Lord, "Reagan would probably be rolling over in his grave right now if he knew you were supporting Trump." Lord said it was different times and they argued about Benghazi, competence, Bloomberg and more Trump / Reagan comparisons. Elmets said "Trump is hijacking the Republican party" and doesn't agree with many things in the GOP platform; he also said Reagan was about optimism. Lord said so is Trump and even Anderson countered that. Elmets insisted Republicans would vote for Hillary, Lord said no because she's incompetent because Benghazi.
In part two Lord drew contrasts between Hillary & Benghazi and Reagan & Grenada. A said the Congressional Benghazi Committee found Hillary was not responsible for what happened in Benghazi and Lord replied with babble. Elmets said he's supporting Hillary and the turning point was Trump's diss of McCain; "Trump is an unbalanced reality TV star." Anderson brought up Reagan's experience as Governor of California and Trump's lack of public service. Lord replied that Trump had a job and created jobs but said nothing to equate anything Trump said with public service of any sort.
This point still bothers me a great deal. Trump has no experience in public service, government or politics; he doesn't know a smidgen about being President.

The last segment of the first hour was a worthless report by Tom Foreman on the friendship between Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump. I changed the channel and didn't watch the second hour.

Although I don't like Jeffrey Lord, at least the debate with Doug Elmets was one-on-one debate and not a crowded panel. And Elmets clearly made better points while Lord still parroted has-been talking points about Benghazi.
Nearly 48 hours later I'm not remembering Scottie Neil Hughes' make-up. I guess I just dismissed her as another blonde parrot and didn't pay close attention. There are articles today in which Hughes is claiming George Stephanopoulos "trapped" Trump into saying bad things about the Khizr Khan and his family. Maybe we'll see this topic on Monday's 360?

CNN TOOK OUT A FULL PAGE ADD CONGRATULATING THEMSELVES ON BEING THE #1 RATED NETWORK FOR BOTH
CONVENTIONS.
THE PHOTO THEY SHOW, FULL PAGE IS THE DNC WITH THE RED, WHITE AND BLUE BALLOONS. HOWEVER,
THEY DON'T GIVE THE DNC CREDIT FOR USING THE SHOT.

@anonymous 7:57 PM, I believe that was a CNN copyrighted photo. When CNN uses a photograph that one of their staff photographers has taken they don't need to credit the source of the photo. If we, or other sites, use a CNN copyrighted photo then it must be sourced. Never, to my knowledge, are you required to credit an event like the conventions unless they are providing the photograph.

@PHEBE: THANK YOU FOR THE UPDATE. I DD NOT KNOW THAT. THE ADD I REFERENCED WAS IN THE NY TIMES.

WOULDN'T YOU KNOW IT. THE MINUTE TRUMP GOES DOWN IN THE POLLS, HILLARY GOT A BIG BOUNCE FROM
ALL THE CREDIBLE ENDORSEMENTS AT THE DNC CONVENTION, HE'S CRYING "FOUL OR RIGGED."
THE "MAN BABY" AS JON STEWART SO APTLY DESCRIBED HIM, CAN'T STAND WHEN THINGS ARE STARTING TO TAKE SHAPE, AND REASONABLE VOTERS START TO VOICE THEIR OPINION.
NO ONE WILL TELL HIM THE TRUTH, THAT HE RAN AGAINST A BUNCH OF LOSER REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES.
DID HE REALLY THINK FOR ONE SECOND HE COULD OUT MANEUVER HILLARY CLINTON? IN SMARTS??
EVEN FAREED ZAKARIA TOLD WOLF BLITZER TODAY, THAT TRUMP IS JUST A "JACK A--. PERFECTO.
AND THE LOOK ON WOLF'S FACE, AS CNN CUT TO COMMERCIAL IS HILARIOUS.
THE CLIP IS ON HUFFPOST.

THE GOP HAS TO PULL TRUMP FROM THIS ELECTION CYCLE. ENOUGH. ENOUGH INSULTS, THIS MAN DOES NOT
KNOW HOW TO CONDUCT HIMSELF IN A RATIONAL MANNER. HE IS AN EMBARRASSMENT AND NOW HE'S FURTHER
EMBARRASSED A GOLD STAR FAMILY BECAUSE THEY ARE MUSLIMS.
IF THE GOP'S PLAN IS TO LET IT PLAY OUT THE WAY IT IS GOING, EVENTUALLY TRUMP WILL PROBABLY COMMIT POLITICAL SUICIDE AND DO SOMETHING SO OUTRAGEOUS THAT HE CAN GO NO FURTHER. BUT WHY WAIT?"PULL HIM NOW AND AT LEAST SAVE THE PARTY. THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING....
ON SECOND THOUGHT, I STILL WANT TO SEE THE DEBATES AND WATCH HILLARY EAT HIM ALIVE.

PRESIDENT OBAMA AND I MUST BE READING EACH OTHERS MINDS. HE SAID TODAY THAT THE GOP SHOULD
PULL TRUMP OUT. HE EVEN SAID "ENOUGH." AND IF THE GOP, WERE SMART, AND THEY'RE NOT, THEY WOULD DO AS OBAMA SAYS, BUT AC POINTED OUT ON 360, JUST TO NIGHT, IF THEY DID PULL THE PLUG ON TRUMP,
IT WOULD MEAN THE 'PRESIDENT WON.'
WELL ANDERSON, A BIG SO WHAT. YOU AND ZUCKER WILL STILL GET A RATINGS BUMP, AND TRUMP WOULD BE
NOW BE SEEN AS SALVAGING WHAT LITTLE SELF RESPECT HE HAS LEFT. BUT WAIT: TRUMP ALREADY DENOUNCED PRESIDENT OBAMA BY SAYING HE WAS "THE WORST PRESIDENT WE EVER HAD."
NO DONALD DUCK, THE VERY WORST PRESIDENT IS WAITING IN THE WINGS.....TAKE A GOOD LOOK IN THE MIRROR, YOU FOOL.
