Why is CNN hosting a Town Hall with Speaker Ryan? This is an hour of free TV for a Republican Representative running for re-election. Talk about bias.

And I guess all the media saying Anderson wouldn't have Lewandowski on AC360 was garbage since he was on Monday night's AC360. Thankfully there's a FF button on my remote. I've been using it a lot lately during AC360.

Why is there no talk on AC360 about gun control in light of the cop shootings in Dallas? Why was there no mention of mental illness regarding the shooter? Is mental illness a discussion only when the shooter is white and not if they are Muslim or Black? Why was there no discussion of the open carry of long guns in TX making it harder for the police to determine who the shooter was and if there was only one shooter as events were unfolding? Why has there been no discussion of the NRA's silence on the rights of Blacks with open carry permits being shot or arrested? Are White people the only one's protected by the 2nd Amendment and the NRA?

Just a few things glaringly missing from AC360 regarding the recent events.

ANON 9:47 THERE IS A TOWN HALL MEETING TO PROMOTE THE REPUBLICAN AGENDA AND DEFEND DONALD J.
DUCK. THEY WANT HIM TO WIN SO THEY CAN HAVE ALL THE ACCESS, RATINGS, AND GREED.
THERE IS NO MENTION OF GUN SAFETY BECAUSE CNN SUPPORTS THE NRA OR ANYTHING REPUBLICAN AND THE
GOP SUPPORTS THE NRA. IF THERE WAS A GUN CONTROL BILL THAT ACTUALLY WAS PUT FORTH AND COULD
PASS THE HOUSE, IT WOULD GO AGAINST THE NRA'S WORSHIP OF GUNS, GREED, PROFIT, AND MONEY.
THERE IS NO MONEY IN SAFETY AND THERE IS NO MONEY IF THERE IS "JUSTICE FOR ALL."
SORRY TO BE SO CYNICAL BUT THIS IS CAPITALISM AND AMERICAN DEMOCRACY AT ITS BEST.

RUTH BADER GINSGERG CERTAINLY DID NOT CROSS THE LINE WITH HER CRITICISM OF DONALD J. DUCK.
SHE HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD AND CALLED HIM "A FAKER." THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HE IS. HE IS MORALLY CORRUPT AND LACKS THE PEDIGREE AND STATESMANSHIP NEEDED FOR LEADERSHIP.
IF YOU THINK THE COUNTRY IS DIVIDED NOW, JUST WAIT UNTIL 'THE DUCK' TRIES TO ASSUME THE RESPONSIBILITIES AS PRESIDENT. IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN PEACEFULLY. THAT IS HOW MUCH HE IS HATED.
AND PAUL RYAN'S RECEPTION AT THE TOWN HALL MEETING WAS LUKEWARM. I HOPE CNN TOOK NOTE.

Can we expect a CNN town hall with Nancy Pelosi soon? CNN is supposed to be balanced, aren't they?

Anderson and his panel (with the exception of the Dem reps) were so outraged that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg dared to criticize CNN's cash cow Trump so openly--Gloria Borger even said that Ginsberg owed Trump an apology. Give me a break--here we have an ignorant, racist, sexist, crazy clown threatening the entire country's future but these folks think Ginsberg's very accurate critique of Trump is the real problem. Speaking of apologies, when has Trump ever thought of apologizing for all of the heinous and disgusting things he's said during his campaign? Not once. MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell pointed out that a couple of SCOTUS members in the past actually ran for POTUS while they were still on the bench, so what's all this hand wringing over Justice Ginsberg really about? I think anon 10:16 has it all right.

Wednesday's 360 had a big surprise in the middle.
But let's start at the beginning.

I was two minutes late, Gov. Mike Pence (R-IN) was on the screen and the title below was alternating from "WSJ: Trump Wants An Attack Dog As His Running Mate" to "Awaiting Start of Trump Rally With Possible VP Pick". While Anderson was talking with Dana Bash, I wondered if CNN would broadcast the Trump rally or the Jake Tapper Town Hall with Rep. Paul Ryan that they've been hyping for two days and had a clockdown number on the screen. The 4=person panel started with Gloria Borger but I watched Hayes because he was covering Obama's speech at the Dallas memorial for the five cops.

Although the second segment started with a shot of the empty Trump rally stage, most of the segment was on Bernie Sanders endorsing Hillary Clinton. Jeff Zeleny had the report and the panel - Gloria Broger, John Jay LaValle, Richard Socarides, Maria Cordona - discussed the endorsement's importance, its possible effects, the issues and the matter of trust.

Boris Sanchez reported from Louisiana on the threats to the Baton Rogue police department and the arrests made. Anderson interrupted him to air Gov. Pence speaking at the Trump rally. On MSNBC Hayes continued to interview two pundits about Black Lives Matter and the police.

Later I was very surprised MSNBC broadcast Trump's speech but CNN didn't. Shocked even. Anderson and the panel talked about Trump and Pence while Trump was shown in the other box but not heard. Did someone figure out it was going to be the usual Trump babble and not worth listening to? MSNBC figured this out about ten minutes later and went back to Hayes' interview.

The last segment covered Obama's speech at the Dallas memorial. Suzanne Malveaux had the report on Obama's comments about the cops, the shootings, race and violence. Her report included a line from Dubya Bush's speech at the event. The last half of the segment was Anderson's interview (he said it was done earlier, it was shown with the LIVE icon on) with the widow, Katrina Ahrens, of one of the Dallas cops.

I'd like to think someone at CNN is figuring out that Trump will tease like crazy that he's going to make a big announcement in a speech but then simply deliver the same old drivel. No more free advertising for Trump's verbal garbage.

Totally agree about gun control, the hooey from the NRA and the bias in reporting gun massacres all needing more coverage. Can we honestly expect that from CNN while Zucker's in charge? I didn't watch the Town Hall with Ryan and will not expect a Town hall with Sen. Elizabeth Warren the week before the Democratic National Convention. Come on, CNN, surprise me shock me and do it.
