Anderson Cooper 360 on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 Live from the RNC

Another day of barely watching but here's what I saw:

I tuned in :09 minutes into 360's hour. Jeffrey Lord, then Kaleigh McEnany and then S.E. Cupp were all squawking Trump talking points. I switched to Maddow and watched her interview Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO). When I checked back to 360 there was an Ivanka Trump interview. MSNBC at this time had a clip from that "60 Minutes" interview CWM84 should really watch. Lesley Stahl asked Trump about Pence's vote for the Iraq War and Trump replied, "I don't care, that was a long time ago." MSNBC started scrutinizing Pence, CNN was still playing the Ivanka interview so I channel surfed a bit.

When I got back to 360, one of the panelists (out of 7 or 8 there) stated 'how great it is that Trump's kids are advising him' and none of the other panelists burst out laughing. Away I went again.

At :33 Blitzer and Tapper were talking about Ted Cruz's speech coming up. To Tapper's credit, he did point out some of Cruz's negative remarks about Trump earlier in the year ("pathological liar" was one of them). Tapper's talk was cut short so CNN could broadcast the RNC's video about America's space exploration. The video was an intro piece for speaker Eileen Collins, first female commander of a space shuttle mission. After more channel surfing, I noticed CNN had State Sen. Ralph Alvarado's speech on. Nope, no more watching.

Triump has no political pr public service experience. The job of President of the United States isn't for amateurs. Anon 1;43 yesterday told us about the mistake Illinois made when electing businessman Bruce Rauner as Governor. My own state made a similar mistake when electing Jesse Ventura as Governor in 1998. Previously Ventura had experience as the Mayor of Brooklyn Park (suburb of Minneapolis). Nonetheless, he was a disaster as Governor. I believe Trump is worse than Ventura... and the Presidency is much bigger job.

ATA, thanks for the extra photos in the posts this week especially the ones of Anderson meeting with fans. I hope to meet Anderson one day and take a picture.

There was a video on Facebook of that comedian with the dog puppet (sorry forgot his name) and he was having a chat with AC. It was pretty hilarious.

Did anybody also see AC losing his cool and snap at someone off camera on Tuesday?

I did see AC snap at his producer or whoever it was--there's a lot of confusion and sound problems at that table and I guess AC's checking the monitor to see when he's off camera before he talks (or snaps at) to his producers, but sometimes the camera catches him anyhow--he seems a little stressed! But I will say the panel had a very lively and fun discussion about the Trump/Ted Cruz fiasco--as did Don Lemon and his panel afterwards.

AC's panel sometimes seems very chaotic with the pundits trying to speak over each other--I sensed a little tension between Gloria Borger and Nia Malika Henderson and Gloria and Anna Navarro. I think Gloria's the queen bee at the pundit table and she doesn't like to be interrupted by AC or anyone else--she had a few "can I make my point" moments with the other panelist--Borger did that last night and Navarro raised her hands and said "oh for the love of Christ"--she was annoyed.

WILL CNN EVER STOP GUSHING OVER TRUMP AND THE KIDS?
WHAT GLORIA BORGER HAD TO SAY WAS TOTALLY MEANINGLESS AS WELL, AND SHE TOO SLANTS EVERYTHING
IN TRUMP'S DIRECTION INCLUDING THE CHANT "PUT HER IN JAIL," REALLY ORIGINAL. DON'T PUT DONALD
DUCK IN JAIL, PUT HILLARY IN JAIL. LET'S START WITH THE TRUMP UNIVERSITY SCANDAL AND WORK OUR WAY DOWN TO HIS TAXES, WHICH WERE NEVER MADE PUBLIC. WHERE'S THE INVESTIGATIVE, OBJECTIVE REPORTING CNN???
WE'LL HAVE TO REMIND ALL THE PUNDITS, INCLUDING ANDERSON, THAT THEY'RE BETTING ON THE WRONG HORSE, WHEN THE TIME COMES. MAYBE ANDERSON WILL HAVE TO SELL ONE OF HIS MANY HOMES.
