Anderson Cooper 360 on Monday, August 22, 2016

Anderson Cooper anchored an expanded two hour edition of AC360 from the NYC studio.   Anderson pretty much lost control of the panel tonight.  Kayleigh McEnany told a bold face lie and neither Anderson or the producers corrected her at the time or later in the program as Anderson sometimes does.  McEnany said there were 2,000 homicides in Chicago this year, the actual number is 440 to date.  While the number is higher than last year, McEnancy shouldn't be stating as facts such gross exaggerations.  It makes one wonder about the rest of the numbers she likes to rattle off.   And Mr. Lewandowski needs to answer the questions he's asked if he appears on a panel, not pivot to something he wants to talk about to make his boss look better.  (Yes, that's right, Corey drew a $20,000 check from Trump in July for "strategy consulting" while on the CNN payroll.)  Conflict of interest?  Ethical journalism, CNN?

It was nice to see Jame Carville back on AC360.  While he was promoting his book his discussion with Anderson about the Clinton Foundation was the type of thing that has sorely been missing on AC360.   Enjoy!

It is sickening to watch the slimy Corey Lewandowski on CNN--it goes to show how far CNN has sunk and they refuse to say whether or not they knew Lewandowski was still working for Trump when they hired him (of course they knew). The only saving grace about having dolts like K-Lee and Corey on AC360 is that they regularly get ripped apart by fiery commentators like Angela Rye, Maria Cardona and Tara Setmayer--and occasionally AC will point out some hypocritical nonsense pushed by the Trumpies--AC wondered why Trump won't speak directly to African-American groups if he's really interested in helping them--Trump's an idiot by any measure but even he knows that African-American voters are not fooled by his 'nice guy' act and they still remember his viciously hateful rhetoric and are STILL hearing the dog whistles he puts out there now.

AC360, CNN and all the cable and network news programs/anchors would do viewers a ton of good if they really went in on fact checking Trump and pushing him on releasing his taxes--Trump reeks of corruption and scandal but the press still is overly focused or unfairly focused on Hillary's emails and the Clinton Foundation.

TRUMP GETS STUPIDER BY THE MINUTE. HE TOLD AN AFRO AMERICAN AUDIENCE THAT "HE CAN FIX CRIME."
NOW IF THAT STATEMENT ISN'T CONDESCENDING I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS. HOW CAN YOU "FIX CRIME," YOU IDIOT??
IF I WERE A BLACK PERSON, I'D INTERPRET IT AS "ALL BLACK PEOPLE LIVE IN CRIME OR IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE AFRO-AMERICAN, YOU LIVE IN A CRIME RIDDEN NEIGHBORHOOD. IT IS JUST LIKE OBAMA SAID, EVERY TIME TRUMP SPEAKS, HE PROVES HOW IGNORANT HE IS.
JASON CARROLL WAS SPEAKING TO AC AND SAID TRUMP FAILED TO RECOGNIZE THAT SOME AFRO-AMERICANS ARE LIVING THE AMERICAN DREAM, AND HE EXCLUDED THEM FROM THE CONVERSATION.
THAT IS BECAUSE PRESIDENT JACK ASS KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT THE DEMOGRAPHY HE'S SPEAKING TO.
HE'S REALLY AN 'ARCHIE BUNKER' DRESSED UP IN A BUSINESS SUIT, AND IF HE'S CALLED "A BUSINESS MOGUL" ENOUGH
TIMES BY THE MEDIA, HE MAY IN FACT, ACTUALLY BECOME ONE.
ANDERSON ALSO INTERVIEWED KELLYANNE CONWAY, THE NEW TRUMP ADVISER. WELL SHE CAN'T MAKE HIM
DUMBER THAN HE ALREADY IS, NOR CAN SHE MAKE HIM BRIGHTER. HE STILL DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING MORE ABOUT HOW GOVERNMENT FUNCTIONS, AND NEVER WILL.

Corey Lewandowski was just flat out wrong about the Trump rally in Chicago that was cancelled. That had nothing to do with race and Trump decided to cancel the rally when he found out about the protesters. The police never told him to cancel the rally or they couldn't move him safely in and out of the building. Trump just didn't want to go where there would be so many protesters at his rally. He could pick on one or two, but a section or two is a little harder. It also showed how horribly the rally was organized by the campaign.
