Anderson Cooper 360 on Tuesday, October 18, 2016

Anderson Cooper anchored an expanded two hour edition of AC360 from Las Vegas ahead of tomorrow night's third presidential debate.

Earlier in the day Anderson posted the following photo to his IG account.  (Wacha is Andy  Cohen's dog.)

Saturday Night Live had a little fun with the second presidential debate, including Anderson Cooper as one of the moderators:

@ATA TEAM; SNL WRITERS SHOULD WIN EMMY AWARDS FOR THEIR 'PERFECT PARODY' IN THE COLD OPEN. HILARIOUS,
BUT OH SO TRUE. ESPECIALLY ALEC BALDWIN'S PRANCING AROUND THE STAGE. THAT IS EXACTLY
WHAT HE DID, AND SADLY NO ONE STOPPED HIM.
LOVED THE LINE FROM KATE'S HILLARY: "I WANT TO THANK DONALD FOR HANDING ME THE ELECTION."
YES, YES, YES, TINA FEY, ACCORDING TO THE NY POST, WAS THE ONE WHO SUGGESTED ALEC BALDWIN FOR
THE PART OF TRUMP THIS PAST SUMMER. BALDWIN DID A ROUTINE IMPERSONATION AT AN SNL AFTER PARTY, AND EVERYONE WAS SO ENERGIZED BY IT, IT WAS A WIN, WIN, SITUATION.
THANKS FOR SHOWING IT!

I barely saw Tuesday's 360 starting with being 3 minutes late. A Drew Griffin report was on and the on-screen title was "Undercover Video Has Dem Operative Fired, Another Resigns". Apparently two guys in the Hillary Clinton campaign talked about inciting violence at Trump rallies; the undercover video was the work of James O'Keefe's group. Anderson had a short Q&A with Griffin. The panel of six included Trump parrots (Jeffrey Lord, Scottie Nell Hughes) started but I switched to Hayes.

Unfortunately I had to take an important phone call and missed a lot. I know the second segment had reports on debate preparation; Jim Acosta covering Trump and Jeff Zeleny covering Hillary. Then the same panel started again.

That panel also started the third segment but I didn't watch. If there was a fourth segment totally missed it.

Anderson reviewed his Monday interview with Melania Trump at the start of the last segment of the first hour. There was a clip of Melania dissing the women who have accused Trump of sexual assault; Melania wonders about "...the background of these women, they don't have any facts." Next came Tom Foreman's report on politicians, sexaul assault and politicians wives. I left again when the panel started.

Three minutes into the second hour I glanced at 360 and it was Anderson and Drew Griffin repeating their Q&A about the undercover video.

Tomorrow 360 will be non-stop predictions about the third debate, the debate and then non-stop analysis. No thanks. All I need is a two-minute wrap-up of it. However I'll try to watch SNL's skit on the debate.
