A CLASSIC ANDERSON CHRISTMAS

As is our tradition, here are our annual Classic Cooper Christmas Clips. It's a collection of favorite Anderson Cooper Christmas moments.

This first Christmas video teams photos of AC with Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas.

In December of 2002 Anderson sat in for Aaron Brown on NewsNight. He did a Segment titled 'Yule Be Sorry' about bad Christmas music.

Ted Allen and Carson Kressley join Anderson Cooper on the AC360 set, in December of 2003, to talk about how to make your Yuletide gay.

Another clip from December 2003, this one was entitled 'Holiday Catalog' and was part of a 'Fresh Print' segment on AC360.

And we will leave you with AC's version of Clement Moore's The Night Before Christmas

Whether you had a Big Jolly Christmas or a Merry Little Christmas or any kind of other celebration (Saturnalia!) I hope all the ATAers had a great holiday.

From the videos today the "Holiday Catalog" is my favorite. Unfortunately I couldn't get any sound on the Ted Allen and Carson Kressley video but remember it as being pretty good.

Anderson's out until New Year's Eve like the last few years?

Yes Jaanza, AC is out until NYE as usual: he's in Myanmar this time with Ben and their friend Pablo Raimondi, a trip which AC has documented more than is typical for him on Instagram.

With one exception the last few days of 360 haven't been all that interesting. Jim Sciutto has been anchoring and I've been jotting down the topics.

On Tuesday's 360 here's what Sciutto covered:
- Some in the GOP not happy with Russian hacking and Trump's nonchalance about it.
- Trump's pick for Homeland Security Advisor is Tom Bossert
- Death of Carrie Fisher
- A few Royal Oak MI 7th graders yelled 'Build a wall' at hispanic students, aftermath and interviews
- Riots/Brawls at various malls around the country.

On Wednesday's 360:
- Trump contradicts himself, misrepresents Sprints plan to bring 5000 jobs back to U.S. and clashes with Obama
- Trump on Israel, Israel's beef with Obama, live footage of Trump's "news conference" in Florida
- John Kerry's speech on Israel, Netanyahu's response
- Russian hacking, possible sanctions, what might Russia do in response
- THE ONE EXCEPTION: the BREAKING NEWS of Debbie Reynold's death. I knew she was taken to the hospital earlier in the day; this is the first report on her death I saw.

On Thursday's 360:
- Obama places sanctions on Russia, expulsions of Russian diplomats as punishment for hacking; Sciutto had three segments on this with various reporters, two different panels, covering all the angles
- The latest Syrian ceasefire
- A winter storm for the northeast U.S. plus a taped chat of Anderson and Kathy Griffin talking about their upcoming New Year's Eve show. Griffin was typically brash and borderline crass and Anderson laughed it all off. It was good seeing Anderson again. Griffin at first glance looks pretty good but the more you watch the more you notice her facial plastic surgery; her neck betrays her age.

Throughout the last three days (didn't see Monday's) there have been commercials and commercial bumpers promoting Anderson and Griffin's NYE show. However, the commercials promoting CNN's special on the band Chicago have seemed more prominent and numerous.
Anderson seems to have fun doing NYE with Griffin and it must get decent ratings for CNN because they're doing it again this year. Griffin has her fans but I'm not one of them. I will not watch... but then again I don't watch any NYE shows on any network so it's not like CNN is losing a viewer to Ryan Seacrest or whoever.

JUST TAKING THIS OPPORTUNITY TO THANK JAANZA FOR ALL HER RECAPS OF 360 THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
OBAMA KNOWS TO PLACE SANCTIONS ON RUSSIA FOR THEIR ALLEGED HACKING, BUT ALL DRUMPF CAN SAY IS HOW
SMART PUTIN IS. OUR INCOMING PRESIDENT IS NOT THE LEAST BIT DISTURBED BY THIS NEWS?? NOW WHAT DOES IT SAY ABOUT THE ELECTORATE WHO VOTED FOR THIS TOTALLY INCOMPETENT PERSON WHO WILL SOON BE OUR LEADER? GOD HELP US ALL.
