At the very start of Thursday's 360 Anderson mentioned the death of John Glenn. A mere mention. He also said something about Trump still connected to "Celebrity Apprentice" but "We begin in Des Moines Iowa..." for the latest in Trump's "FU" tour. Anderson talked to Jeff Zeleny for the details and the chyron was "Any Moment: Trump Speaks In Iowa" and I simultaneously thought "dammit" and "At least I'll be able to watch football instead."
Hayes was reporting on the latest horrible Trump pick for his Cabinet -Andrew Puzder for Secretary of Labor - and had an interview with union leader Chuck Jones.
Back on 360 Anderson gave a recap of the Jones and Trump feud and Martin Savidge reported on reactions Jones has received, some bad but also some good. I was glad to see Robert Reich back again in the panel but it was a panel of 6 and, after a quick check to see what Hayes was doing, stayed with MSNBC because Hayes was interviewing Bernie Sanders.

The panel of 6 continued in the second segment. Reich talked about Trump campaigning as as champion of the working people and now going in the opposite direction with his Cabinet picks. He further explained the picks were people who hated the the purpose of the department they may be running. Anderson asked about Trump's businesses and conflicts of interest. Reich answered Trump cares only for himself, will reduce people's trust in the office of the Presidency but doesn't care about that. Kaleith McEnany insisted Trump's kids will run the company, blind trust, don't worry yada yada yada. I checked out Hayes who was talking to one pundit - Norman Eisen - about the same topic.
At :24 Trump started his speech and both CNN and MSNBC both carried it. I went to the football game.
At a break in the action at :32 CNN had Trump full-screen and full-audio while Hayes was talking to two pundits and had Trump off to the side and later in a very small box in the corner of the screen.
At :39 Anderson was back with the panel. Reich said out Trump was still campaigning and still in the "me vs. them" mode. When McEnany spoke up next I went back to football. When I came back the African-American woman next to McEnany was making some very good points about Trump rallies being unpresidential, Trump was "spiking the ball", he should be preparing to be President and his Cabinet picks are horrible. She and McEnany disagreed and talked over each other for a while. Reich ended the segment by saying Trump's picks were the most "right-wing" ever and the rallies are not unifying the country.

Trump and his stake - as Executive Producer - of "Celebrity Apprentice" was the topic of the last segment of the first hour. Anderson talked to Dylan Byers about Trump's ownership stake in "CA", the conflicts of interest that could arise and the question of priorities. Next Anderson questioned David Gergen and David Gregory about these topics and also Trump's Cabinet picks and his anti-China tweets.
Anderson previewed the start of the second hour: Trump's speech in Iowa. I didn't watch.

@Pragya - your comment at the end of yesterday's ATA regarding Robert Reich on 360 - I wouldn't call it an interview because that implies it was a one-on-one Q&A with Anderson and not being one of the panel members. Regardless I was glad to see him on 360 yesterday and today. Anderson asked him good questions and Reich gave smart answers. I didn't watch all of today's panel discussions but twice today after answering honestly what he thought of Trump (Christiane Amanpour: Be truthful not neutral), MeEnany was next. As if each time a Trump parrot had to be given the opportunity to rebuttal Reich.

Laughable to see dimwit robot K-Lee trying to debate Robert Reich, what a joke and an insult to everyone's intelligence.

Robert Reich's correct assertion that Trump's cabinet picks are right wing extremist nightmares was quickly brushed off by Anderson and the panelists--yes, the GOP 'won' but that make Trump's picks any more reasonable--Richard Nixon was a conservative too but he also created the EPA--Trump's guy wants to destroy it. I wish Robert Reich could be on 360 every night. I miss some of the liberal commentators who used to appear regularly on 360, where are Angela Rye, Bakari Sellars, Charles Blow, Maria Cardona?

RIP John Glenn, a true hero, even if he didn't see himself that way.

@Jaanza

The second hour was much better than the first. AC cut away from Trump's speech. And he had a wonderful segment on Sandy Hook. I was wishing he had kept it in the first hour because he loses a lot of viewers to Maddow at 9.

BTW AC cut away from Trump's speech way before Hayes did, which was both surprising and a good sign.

I am glad Reich has become a somewhat permanent fixture and that AC invited him back.

DRUMPF'S CABINET PICKS ARE REALLY SCARY, ESPECIALLY FLYNN.....AND WHAT DOES BRAIN SURGEON, BEN CARSON, WHO MAKES NO SENSE WHEN HE SPEAKS, PROBABLY OPERATED ON HIMSELF, HAVE IN COMMON WITH HUD??HE WAS POOR A VERY LONG TIME AGO, AND HE IS BLACK, BINGO....QUALIFIED.
MOST OF THOSE THAT WERE CHOSEN ARE RICH AND TOTALLY UNQUALIFIED, LIKE TRUMP HIMSELF.
TRUMP MAKES RICHARD NIXON LOOK LIKE A SAINT. NIXON NOT ONLY REINFORCED THE EPA, BUT HE CHOSE A SURGEON
GENERAL WHO CHANGED THE LIVES OF EVERY AMERICAN SMOKER.
EITHER I'M GETTING STUPIDER OR BLONDE AMBITION IS GETTING BLONDER, BUT SHE ACTUALLY MADE SENSE ABOUT WHY SHE DIDN'T LIKE MITT ROMNEY.
WHY DO I GET THE FEELING THAT 'RUDY' WASN'T EXTREMIST ENOUGH, OR FAR RIGHT ENOUGH, AND THAT'S WHY HE WASN'T CHOSEN. HE IS A CENTRIST ON MOST ISSUES, BUT HE WAS ALSO VERY LOYAL.
BUT IN TRUMP'S WORLD THE WORD LOYAL JUST WORKS IN ONE DIRECTION....HIS.
