Anderson Cooper 360 on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 & Anderson's Surprise Appearance on The Steve Harvey Show

Anderson Cooper anchored about 20 minutes of AC360 from the NYC studio.  The first 26 minutes was Trump's speech and the 9pmET hour was Van Jones' special.

Earlier in the day Anderson appeared on The Steve Harvey Show via Skype to the surprise of Kathy Griffin.  Kathy was Steve's guest and when talked turned to New Year's Eve on CNN, Anderson appeared!  Enjoy:

THIS IS REALLY FUNNY. I THINK THE TWO OF THEM SHOULD DO THAT ROUTINE ON NEW YEAR'S EVE.
THANK YOU ATA TEAM.

Tuesday's 360 sucked. Right when it started was also right when Trump started his speech at the "FU" (thank you, Jim Acosta!) rally in Fayetteville NC. Anderson appeared for a few seconds, enough time to say Trump was giving a speech and "Let's listen in." Nope. I think CNN carried Trump's entire speech, roughly 36 minutes but can't be eintrely sure because I watched Hayes and the second 'Hunger Games' movie.

Over on MSNBC Hayes sucked only half as much. Trump's speech was also broadcast from the start but after about 18 minutes Hayes silenced Trump, shoved him to the side of the screen and interviewed Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA).

At roughly :35 into the hour I saw Trump end his speech so I checked out 360. Anderson was talking to Jeff Zeleny for a recap of Trump's speech. I didn't need that and went back to Hayes. Checking back five minutes later Anderson had a panel - 4 in studio, one off site - of the usual pundits. This panel apparently lasted until the end of the hour.

Unfortunately for Anderson, Hayes had the better program today. He covered a wider variety of topics and besides Schiff, he spoke to Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-CA), Robert Reich, Sarah Isour Flores and terrific scrutiny at the actual jobs "saved" in the Carrier deal.

Let's have a few words from Christiane Amanpour, "I believe in being truthful, not neutral. And I believe we must stop banalizing the truth." Google it for the full transcript of her speech.

Anderson again paired with Kathy Griffin on New Year's Eve? No thanks.
