Not exactly thrilled with Wednesday's 360. I spent some time at Hayes or channel surfing but here's what I saw Anderson cover.

The first segment started out great - Anderson not only was covering Aleppo, it was the lead story! The latest ceasefire failed, conditions are getting even more horrible and while a new ceasefire agreement may be on the horizon, civilians are still dying. There was a clip of U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Samantha Power speaking out against the massacre and against doing nothing. Then a heartbreaking report made up mostly of personal accounts from Syrians in Aleppo who don't know how much longer they'll be alive. Anderson talked to reporter Frederick Pleitgen (in Beirut) about the situation in Aleppo. After that Anderson introduced a 4 person panel. At first glance I was prepared to stay for this panel discussion but I HATED Anderson's first question 'How would President Trump handle this?'. AAAARRGGGHHH!!! How about asking 'How can the people in Aleppo be helped and be helped quickly with little risk to U.S. military personnel?' But NOPE! He weaseled TRUMP into the subject! I HATED it so much I changed the channel.

A Q&A with Sara Murray about Trump's kids in his business, in the transition team and probably the White House began the second segment. I was distracted for part of this and part of Randi Kaye's report on Donald Jr. focusing on his love of hunting, his alleged conservationism and his part in helping choose the Sect. of the Interior. Then the panel again but expanded to 8. Another NOPE.

When I checked back later it may have been a new segment but the panel was still discussing Trump's kids. The chyron was 'Trump's Son-In-Law Will Likely Have West Wing Office'. Meanwhile Hayes was interviewing Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) about Trump, Putin, hacking and influencing the election.

The next segment had a promising start. It was on "How The DNC Got Hacked" and the primary source was a New York Times article. Anderson interviewed Eric Lipton, the writer of that article. The main points here were: FBI guy called DNC warning of hacking taking place but the DNC didn't believe it was a real FBI guy, how the hacking happened and what the DNC should have done. I don't remember any mention of the Russians also hacking the RNC but not publicizing or leaking any of that material or any mention of the BREAKING NEWS of Putin being very involved in the hacking program and trying to influence the U.S. election.

Today is the fourth anniversary of the Newton school shooting. Anderson had a very good report concentrating on his interview with Grace McDonnell's parents and at the end of the first hour stated the names and showed photos of all 26 who lost their lives.

Checking in a few minutes into the second hour it was a repeat of the story of Trump's kids involved in the transition team and attending meetings. Maybe Anderson covered Putin later?

I'M NOT ONE TO SPREAD GOSSIP, BUT KANYE WEST, YES, KIM'S HUSBAND, WAS INVITED TO MEET WITH "THE GREAT ONE" TODAY. I BET HE'S UP FOR A CABINET POSITION....BUT DON'T TELL A SOUL.
WHAT'S LEFT? MAYBE SECRETARY OF INTERIOR. I NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHAT THE SECRETARY OF INTERIOR DID
ANYWAY AND IT IS SURE TO BOOST KANYE'S CAREER OR MAYBE HE'S INTERVIEWING AS A CANDIDATE FOR THE
NEW AND IMPROVED APPRENTICE WITH ARNOLD. AND THEY SAID "THE DONALD WASN'T A MULTI-TASKER."

@Jaanza

I was appalled that there wasn't more outrage that the FBI didn't send an agent or call the head of the DNC, but rather called and talked to tech vendor. That the FBI wasn't that concerned with the hacking of the DNC during an election cycle tells you where their political loyalties lie. I hope Mitch McConnell doesn't get his way and the hacking investigation is handled by in-house committees. That will bury the results and nothing will be done. There needs to be an independent investigator brought in and I hope the Dems don't let up on that.

360 didn't cover the fact that McConnell was briefed on the Russian hacking before the election and pushed to keep that information secret so as not to affect the election while gleefully letting the Comey letter affect the election. I guess we know why his wife was afforded a position in Trump's cabinet and McConnell has said he will not recuse himself. Apparently there are no conflicts of interest in Trumpland?

And why isn't Melania going to be first lady? Now Invanka is taking over that role? I'm guessing Trump will be spending more time in NYC than DC and you know what that means for taxpayers, millions of taxpayer dollars spent on his travel back and forth not to mention the extra security.

I hope Dems push back at least as hard as Republicans did. Trump is a walking conflict of interest are many of his cabinet picks and his family. Until they all release their tax returns and put their companies in blind trusts every move should be questioned.

@Aries Moon is right. The Repubs never gave President Obama a chance and they weren't called out in the news media so why AC and his panels think the Dems should give Trump a chance is beyond me. There's been no pivot, no Presidential Trump, so no reason to think he's not going to lie going forward the way he lied himself right into office. And you are right that the majority of voters did not vote for Trump so there's no mandate. While he may have won the electoral college and more counties, he lost the popular vote and the counties Hillary won outproduce the counties Trump won 2 to 1.

I hope Anderson is on vacation for a couple weeks and should he decide to take the month of January off that wouldn't bother me either. One can only take so much of his chumminess with Jeffrey Lord and always giving Kayleigh the last word.

@anon 12:33 am, excellent point about Mitch McConnell's role in keeping the Russian election hacking quiet--placing party over the best interests of the country--completely partisan. And why wasn't this ever brought up on 360? Sometimes AC360 is a bit selective in the information they choose to report--why didn't McConnell's silence on the hacking and conflicts of interest merit a mention on the show? It seems like MSNBC's Rachael Maddow/Chris Hayes/Joy Reid always give a fuller, more accurate picture of what Republicans are really doing than 360 ever does.

And also anon 12:33, AC joking around with the repulsive Jeff Lord and regularly cutting off non-Trump pundits when they're making solid points in order to give K-Lee or Lord more time to prattle on and get the last word is tiresome to me too. I will give 360 credit for bringing Robert Reich on the show but do take that vacation Anderson.

@anonymous Anderson did call out the republicans many times, I can link you to videos if you like, but I see your point otherwise. I don't think AC going on leave is going to help matters at all, the Trump surrogates are employed by CNN. What you might get is no more Reich or Farenthold or Friedman etc, because these are AC's guests.

I liked today's show. Especially for being the only show to lead with the horrific situation in Aleppo. It is a little ironic that on one hand we are accusing the media and other people of being insensitive towards our needs in a Trump regime, and on the other hand we don't seem to care about any atrocities being inflicted on people who are not us. Do we only care if we are directly affected?
Special mention for the last Sandy Hook segment, which was vintage AC. I saw some Sandy Hook parents post on social media about the segment, they were so grateful to AC for the tribute. Heartbreaking.

Also, the Ridiculist is back!

Fuck Trump always.

Sure before Zucker took over Cooper called out the Repugs on a regular basis, BUT since Sucker(as in suck up) took over CNN is very selective about when and how they call out the Repugs.

IS IT ME OR AM I ALONE IN THINKING THAT EVERYONE AT CNN SHOULD WIN THE NEXT ACADEMY AWARD? I'M NOT
KIDDING. FROM GLORIA BORGER TO DAVID GERGEN TO WOLF BLITZER TO ANDERSON AND ERIN. ALL SHOULD COME FORWARD AND TAKE A BOW AND ACCEPT THE AWARD OF NOT OUTSTANDING COVERAGE FOR NEWS IN THE MAKING.
NOW YOU ALL KNOW I LOATHE TRUMP, BUT HE DID ASK A VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION IN HIS TWEET: WHY WASN'T THIS NEWS BROUGHT FORTH BEFORE HILLARY LOST?? EXACTLY. NOW DON'T TELL ME EVERYONE IS RELYING ON THE
NEW YORK TIMES ACCOUNT OF HOW RUSSIAN HACKING THE DNC OCCURRED OR THAT THEY REALLY WEREN'T CERTAIN PUTIN WAS INVOLVED. A NINE YEAR OLD CAN COMPREHEND THAT TRUMP'S PRESIDENCY IS NOT LEGITIMATE.
OH I KNOW, THOSE TRUMP SUPPORTERS WILL BE REALLY ANGRY, BUT WHAT ABOUT THOSE HILLARY SUPPORTERS WHO
WERE SHOCKED OUT OF THEIR MINDS TO FIND OUT, SHE LOST, AND THERE ARE THOSE 2.6 MILLION VOTES CAST IN HER FAVOR FOR THE POPULAR VOTE....AND NOW THE MEDIA IS ON IT. GREAT. A MONTH AND HALF LATER THE
CHATTER IS UNREAL AND NO ONE CAN BELIEVE PUTIN WAS INVOLVED. HOW COME I KNEW IT TWO MONTHS AGO AND DAVID AXELROD IS FEIGNING AMAZEMENT??
I'LL SAY IT BECAUSE YOU MEDIA FOLKS DON'T HAVE THE NERVE.....WE ARE STUCK WITH A PRESIDENT WHO IS A FRAUD. HE WAS A MONTH AND HALF AGO AND HE IS NOW....AND HE SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED TO TAKE THE OATH
OF OFFICE. SO WORK THOSE PHONES IVANKA, WE KNOW WHO YOU'RE CALLING FOR DADDY, WHILE THE FIRST LADY TO BE LOOKS AFTER BARON, HER HEIR TO THE FRAUDULENT THROWN.

@Pragya I didn't mean that Anderson never called out any Republicans during the Obama years, but he certainly never said they should give President Obama a chance and instead of being obstructionists needed to do what was best for the country. He said both things concerning Trump and the Dems needing to give him a chance and to put country over party. I also watched as President Obama's terms progressed he was given less and less coverage. There were nights on end in December of 2010 where AC and David Gergen were on AC360 saying President Obama would never get DADT repealed and that The Affordable Care Act wouldn't get passed. When both things happened there was little acknowledgement of either accomplishment, but plenty of bashing over the ACA over it's rough roll out. When Republicans voted time and time again to repeal The ACA, Anderson never asked why are they not working with Democrats to make the act better. So yes, there seems to be a double standard now that Trump is the President-elect.

Anderson's line about being a real person before entering politics is an old line he's repeated often.

@ARIES MOON: YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS ARE REPEATEDLY WELL RESEARCHED AND THOUGHT PROVOKING. YOUR FEELING ABOUT ROBERT REICH'S COMMENTARIES ARE RIGHT ON TARGET. YES, TIME FOR ANDERSON TO TAKE ANOTHER
TRIP TO HIS HOME IN BRAZIL AND CHILL.....AS THEY SAY.
PS: I WAS LOOKING FOR SOME SHARP SCISSORS TO CUT BLONDE AMBITION OUT OF MY FLAT SCREEN FOR GOOD.
