The chyron at the start of Wednesday's 360 was "Andrew Puzder Withdraws As Labor Sec'y Nominee". Anderson talked to a reporter who's name I never caught about the details including Puzder's ex-wife's tales of domestic abuse and his hiring of undocumented workers. Next it was Pamela Brown with news on Flynn, Trump and Russian communications with a short Q&A with Anderson on what the content and intent of those calls might have been. Then it was Jim Acosta with more details and a clip of Trump praising Flynn today and labelling the media "unfair". I actually stayed for the panel discussion because it was Kirsten Powers, David Axelrod, Carl Bernstein and Mary Katherine Ham. It was good analysis of all of the above topics and including Trump's concern about leaks.

Manu Raju covered the topic of a possible Congressional investigation of Flynn. Would they do it, what has been said so far by congresspeople and how would it be done. Anderson introduced a new panel and I didn't stay because I still have a bad cold and have no patience for Jeffrey Lord. However, when I checked back 4 - 5 minutes later Bernstein was talking.

The possible Flynn investigation and what role new Attorney General Jeff Sessions would have in it was the topic of the third segment. There was a series of clips of Sessions glorifying Trump in campaign speeches. The usual panel came back and I left.

Today Trump had a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and I wish 360 had all of Trump's answer after an Israeli reporter asked about the rise of anti-semitism in the U.S. since his win. 360 had only a short bit of it when Trump was talking about a one-state vs. two-state solution to the Israel / Palestine problem. In Trump's entire answer he rambles and babbles and would be funny if he weren't President. Anderson had a very good one-on-one interview with esteemed State Dept. alumni George Mitchell. They covered past U.S. policy, how Trump has broke away from it, how Trump is ignorant of reality in this area and whether SIL Kushner would really be an envoy.

The last segment of the first hour was Gary Tuchman's report "What Trump Supporters In Arizona Are Saying" and they're saying everything's hunky dory. There was one woman who was concerned about Flynn and Russian connections but she still likes Trump.

Bogey is such a cute doggie!!! Thanks for posting that photo here, ATA. Bogey looks incredible but I still prefer Heinz 57 kind of dogs. That's what my family had when we were growing up and the kind my dog-adopting siblings have.

Does everyone know what a Heinz 57 dog is? Whoever writes in first with the correct answer get's a gold star for the day!

AC360 really needs to kick Jeffrey Lord off the show, he has nothing to offer. It almost seems that Zucker or whoever keeps him around simply because he irritates most of CNN's viewers, liberals in particular. No matter what Trump's done or said, Lord will defend it. I also wish AC would have more than one actual liberal on his panels--he or his producers seem to want his panels to consist mainly of conservatives and the 'neutral' reporters that he has on aren't there to defend the left, so I wish he'd bring in at least two liberals and more people of color--Angela Rye was on the panel last Friday but she wasn't allowed to say much--AC360's panels used to be more diverse on most nights of the show but now it seems that they shove minority panelist appearances towards the end of the week--other than that, 360 has been doing some great work as far as covering the Trump/Flynn disaster and AC hasn't gone easy on Trump or his defenders--he asks tough questions, quickly points out inconsistencies and asks good follow up questions.

I wish Jeff Sessions and Betsy DeVos had met the same fate as Andrew Puzder.

Is anyone else noticing that Anderson seems to be doing less and less of the special coverage on CNN, Tapper is taking his place.

Jake Tapper has been making most of the headlines on CNN and he's being seen as a straight shooter, someone who regularly refutes Trump's lies no holds barred. It's possible that AC has chosen a lighter load at CNN for his own personal reasons, but Jake seems to be the anchor/reporter of the hour at CNN now--it wouldn't surprise me if Jake ends up taking AC's 8pm slot down the line. I notice that AC has been taking Fridays off for the AC2 tour with Andy Cohen--seems to be a monthly thing for him.

YES, JEFF LORD MUST GO. I AGREE AND HE IS ALWAYS SPEWING FORTH NONSENSE IN FRONT OF A PIX OF
REAGAN....LIKE THAT WILL REMIND VIEWERS THAT THE GOP IS THE GRAND OLD PARTY OF REAGAN AND TRUMP IS JUST LIKE HIM.
WHILE I WAS NEVER A REAGAN FAN, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE OF NANCY, THE PRESIDENT WE HAVE NOW SHOULD
BE VIEWED AS THE LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR OF BEING.
HE IS A LIAR IN CHIEF, A CON ARTIST, A DETRIMENT TO SOCIETY, AND IT IS SHEER ABSOLUTELY CRAZINESS
TO DEFEND HIM. EVERYTHING HE DOES AND SAYS IS A COMPLETE FALSEHOOD. THE PRESS SHOULD STOP HOLDING HIMS ACCOUNTABLE AND WHEN HE CALLS A MEETING...BOYCOTT IT.
I HAVE NEVER DISLIKED ANY PERSON MORE THAN I DISLIKE DRUMPF. CAN'T WAIT UNTIL HE STEPS SO DEEPLY
IN HIS OWN SH--THAT NO ONE CAN SAVE HIM AND SAYING, "HE INHERITED A MESS," WHEN IN FACT HE INHERITED "A GIFT," IS BEYOND DECEITFULNESS. SOMEONE IN THE AUDIENCE SHOULD HAVE YELLED "YOU LIE!" JUST AS THEY DID WITH OBAMA, WHO WAS AND IS OUR BELOVED EX-PRESIDENT AND STATESMAN. I CAN'T STAND THE SIGHT OF HIM AND AM PRAYING THAT SOMEONE BOLD WILL DUTIFULLY
GET HIM OUT BEFORE HE DESTROYS OUR DEMOCRACY WITH HIS UTTER LACK OF DECENCY. TRUMP IS BEYOND
"VILE."
THE ONLY THING MORE FAKE THAN HIS PREPONDERANCE OF FAKE NEWS, IS TRUMP'S PRESIDENCY.

Zucker has always loved Tapper, he said this in 2013
“I can tell you from the position that I was in, the prospect of Jake Tapper being the face of the new CNN had me more excited than anything, and I can tell you after today, I know it was absolutely the right thing. I couldn’t be prouder. I couldn’t hope for more than for Jake and his team to take CNN into our next place, into our next century. This is the start of an incredible new era.”
