Anderson started Monday's show talking with Phil Mattingly about "CBO: Sen Bill Leaves 22 Million More Uninsured by 2025". Mattingly had details on the numbers, the uninsured, the promised reduction in the deficit, Capitol Hill reactions and if/when changes will be made. Then it was a panel of Gloria Borger, Maggie Habermann, Scott Jennings and Van Jones to analyze. The discussion included talk about the Republican Senators who are against it, comparisons to the ACA, the "meanness" of the bill, how voters will react and the Medicare/Medicaid issue.

The opening chyron of the second segment was "WAPO: FBI Questioned Trump Campaign Advisor Carter Page At Length" and Anderson had a Q&A with Kevin Barrett of WAPO before adding Borger and Haberman. The talk included a clip of Anderson's interview of Page from March.

"Cameras Banned At WH Briefing... Again" Jim Acosta told Anderson all about it. At one point Acosta said, "...unfortunatley we all went along with it." He and Anderson also covered Trump's tweet blaming Obama for meddling Russians, stating there was no collusion and stating he should get an apology. Acosta set the facts straight and said the White House was trying to shift accountability to Obama. Anderson also had an overview of how Spicer misrepresented another WAPO story and spoke with Adam Entous of WAPO for the real enchilada. IMHO and others why does Acosta and other members of the WH press corps have to put up with no cameras at the briefings? They could simply choose not to participate. But, then again, that's probably what Spicer and Trump want.

Russians meddling with the election, Trump's (through Spicer) admission it "probably" happened and him blaming Obama got a panel with David Gergen and Tony Blinken.

"Supreme Court Allows Parts Of Trump's Travel Ban To Take Effect" - First a talk with Jessica Schneider for the details on what this means and what might happen when the SCOTUS decides on the travel ban in the Fall. Jeffrey Toobin and Neal Katyal, who represented Hawaii in their lawsuit against the ban, discussed.

Anderson previewed the start of the second hour: Same as the first.

Monday's 360 could have used a fluffy report on Melania or a Ridiculist or something light to balance out all the dreary heavy news because sometimes the brain needs fluff. I've noticed Erin Burnett often ends her show with a Jeanne Moos report and those are always fun.

Nice photos from Barstow CA. The videos will have to wait until tomorrow.

Let's hope the Republicans fall short of passing their monstrosity and travesty of a health care bill. So many of them express 'concern' only to fall right in line with their party and nothing their constituents say even matters. Many people will be seriously hurt by the GOP's bill and hopefully they will pay in 2018 and 2020.

Trump is such a senseless, inept and envious clown, totally obsessed with trying to make his superior, President Obama, look small, it will NEVER happen--Pres. Obama is still beloved around the world and Trump has made the U.S. a laughingstock. Trump's ludicrous and insane attempt to accuse Pres. Obama of collusion with Russia is projection of the highest or lowest order. When Trump accuses others of wrongdoing, it's usually because HE'S the one whose done something wrong or corrupt and everyone knows it.

Don Lemon was nearly foaming at the mouth with rage over Sean Spicer and the Trump Administration not allowing cameras in the press briefings. He had Jim Acosta and April Ryan and both were clearly upset and frustrated about it--Don Lemon couldn't understand why MORE reporters didn't back Acosta or just simply turn on their cameras in spite of the rules--Ryan seemed to imply that the Trump Administration is vindictive and will prevent certain reporters from asking questions if they break their rules. Jim Acosta seemed to indicate that the White House Press Corps is working on something in the background to combat Trump/Spicer press briefing camera bans. Oddly, Anderson didn't seem the slightest bit concerned or upset about reporters being blocked from filming the press briefings--I know he doesn't like the idea of reporters 'whining' about their jobs but this is more than that and would he have such a tepid reaction if President Obama or Hillary Clinton shut off cameras in press briefings? Somehow I doubt it. The public has a right to see these briefings--where's the transparency and accountability? Trump/Spicer and Co just want the press/public to see things the way THEY want them to and that is unacceptable.

@ARIES MOON: YOU ARE SO RIGHT ABOUT TRUMP AND PRESIDENT OBAMA. HE IS ENVIOUS OF HIM. HE'S TRYING VERY HARD TO TEAR DOWN HIS LEGACY. THAT IS WHY HE'S "HELL BENT," EXCUSE THE EXPRESSION,
ON GETTING TRUMPCARE PASSED. NO MATTER HOW BAD IT IS AND PART OF THE FAULT DOES LIE WITH THE INEPT DEMS WHO ARE ACTUALLY AFRAID TO STEP UP TO THE PLATE. NANCY PELOSI HAS BEEN THERE TOO LONG. THERE ARE A FEW GOOD REPUBLICANS WHO ARE AGAINST TRUMP/NONCARE.
AS FOR ANDERSON, IT DOES NOT SURPRISE ME IN THE LEAST THAT HE DOESN'T "SEEM" CONCERNED ABOUT A FREE PRESS. IT IS HIS "PRIVILEGED BACKGROUND." SORRY, BUT IT COMES INTO PLAY EVERY TIME THERE IS AN ISSUE THAT RELATES TO OTHERS, BUT NOT TO HIM.
LIKE HEALTH CARE REFORM FOR INSTANCE. DO YOU REALLY THINK HE CARES ONE WAY OR THE OTHER ABOUT
MEDICAID OR MEDICARE OR SOCIAL INSECURITY?? WHY SHOULD HE? HE HAS MILLIONS. YES, HE WORKED FOR IT AND HE HAD TO PROVE HIMSELF, BUT NOW THAT HE HAS "HIS," IT DOESN'T BOTHER HIM IN THE LEAST.
DON LEMON, JIM ACOSTA, APRIL RYAN ALL CAME UP THE "HARD WAY."
TRUMP'S LIFE STYLE IS APPEALING TO ANDERSON, BECAUSE HE IS "ENTITLED." IN MANY RESPECTS THEY SHARE THE SAME VALUES....EXCEPT THE LYING....JMHO

@Cappy, very interesting point about the differences in perspectives that AC, Don, Jim and April have and why Anderson seems more invested in certain types of stories than others--I hadn't thought of that--this is why it's so great reading comments here, there's always something that can make you see things in a different way.
