Anderson Cooper 360 on Thursday, August 10, 2017

Anderson Cooper anchored AC360 in the 8pm and 9pmET hours from the NYC studio.  AC360 had quit booking Kayleigh because she was rude to other guests and CNN fired Lord for an offensive tweet, but unfortunately tonight they introduced us to Nan Hayworth who was rude to other panelists and like Lord, deflected when Anderson asked her a direct question.

JEFFREY LORD SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED THE MINUTE ANDERSON MADE HIS INFAMOUS REMARK. ENOUGH!
WE HAD TO WAIT UNTIL THIS JERK GAVE A NAZI SALUTE TWEET?? LORD THOUGHT, AFTER AC APOLOGIZED, THAT HE COULD DO AND SAY, JUST ABOUT ANYTHING AND GET AWAY WITH IT, AND HE DID.
IF ONLY WE COULD GET RID OF BOGUS SO QUICKLY....I DON'T CARE WHO TAKES HIS PLACE.
MAYBE LORD AND GRIFFIN CAN DO THEIR OWN NEW YEARS EVE GIG, NOW THAT THEY HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON....BOTH ARE EQUALLY OBNOXIOUS AND WERE FIRED FROM CNN FOR STEPPING IN THEIR OWN CRAP.

Sooooo happy CNN fired Jeff Lord--he never should've been hired or stayed as long as he did. I do think AC got frustrated with his crazed Trump rationalizations and excuses but at the same time I think AC believed that Lord's perspective on what Trump's voters think was important to hear--he said that often enough and Lord has even made passing comments about how he and Anderson have had off-air conversations about issues they agree on. I think AC has some issues with what he perceives to be double-standards on the left and how conservatives are supposedly treated unfairly by the media--AC has also said how it's become too common or easy to label someone a racist (K-Lee said that once and AC agreed and I'm sure Lord does as well). Unfortunately, these are areas where I think AC may have had something in common with Lord--I'm not totally convinced AC supported getting Lord off of CNN but AC360 viewers certainly did and there was MUCH celebrating his demise on Twitter. Lord has been repulsive from day one but CNN never saw fit to toss him off the network until now, but whatever, just glad we'll never have to listen to his tired Reagan stories or lies about President Obama, Hillary Clinton and Democrats. Lord's gone but Nan Hayworth is going to be a BIG problem too. I guess there just aren't any sane, non-obnoxious Trump backers--AC let her talk entirely too long and she comes off like a total nut. I hope her appearances will be few and far between.

First, no rundown of what was on 360 on Thursday. I watched the Vikings-Buffalo Bills game instead. Vikings WON!!!

Second, I just watched The Young Turks comment on this on YouTube and agree with them on a few things.
Jeffrey Lord was hired to be an outspoken no-holds-barred Trump apologizer. And to do that in a borderline toxic way because that's what viewers want; they wnat the trainwreck, the drama, the soap opera. Plus CNN wants the attention it gets when other networks pick up on the outlandish things Trump parrots say and the kerfuffles that start in panel discussions. It's all about ratings.
Anderson, if a few reports can be believed, has been fed up with Lord on a number of occasions. Why can't he NOT have Lord on 360? It's his show but then again CNN executive weasels might insist on having Lord on just for the drama.
Cenk Uyger actually defended Lord, saying Lord wasn't tweeting "Sieg Heil" as a Nazi but was doing it as an insult to that Media Matters guy. I totally agree with Uyger that Lord should have been fired for getting facts wrong and reality twisted. Maybe Lord was on the chooping block for a while and the "Sieg Heil" tweet was what brought the ax down.

Third, I don't know who Nan Hayworth is but am not surprised CNN/360 found another batcrap crazy Trump loon to take Lord's place.

Fourth, I actually might watch a Lord and Kathy Griffin NYE show just because politically they are polar opposites and just maybe Griffin would wallop him good after one too many stupid right-wing remarks.

I DON'T THINK WE CAN LUMP "TRUMP SUPPORTERS" INTO ONE GROUP. I KNOW SOME INTELLIGENT PEOPLE WHO VOTED FOR TRUMP BECAUSE THEY "DIDN'T WANT TO VOTE FOR A WOMAN." I SAY INTELLIGENT PEOPLE BECAUSE IF YOU HEARD THEM SPEAK, YOU'D SAY THEY WERE FAIRLY WELL EDUCATED AND REALLY DIDN'T APPROVE OF TRUMP'S BEHAVIOR, BUT THEY GAVE HIM A PASS BECAUSE OF HIS GENDER.
I'M NOT SAYING I EXCUSE THEIR BEHAVIOR AT THE BALLOT BOX, BUT THIS IS THE WAY A LOT OF "MEN"
THINK, AND IT IS BOTH RACES, WHICH SURPRISES ME.
I LIVE IN A BLUE STATE, THANK THE GOOD LORD, AND THERE'S A SIGN ON THE MAIN DRAG, TRUMP/PENCE.
EVERY TIME I DRIVE BY, I WANT TO THROW AN EGG AT IT, BUT IT'S PRIVATE PROPERTY, AND UNFORTUNATELY, THE REALITY IS, BOGUS IS PRESIDENT.
I RECENTLY ASKED BOTH MEN ABOUT THE SIGN AND THEY SAID, "IT DIDN'T BOTHER THEM ONE WAY OR THE OTHER." THEY BOTH DISLIKED LORD AND NEVER LISTENED TO HIM. SO MUCH FOR HIS INFLUENCE ON CNN.
