I'D REALLY LIKE TO KNOW WHY NO CNN ANCHOR, INCLUDING ANDERSON, WILL REPORT ON ANOTHER STORM BREWING IN THE SOUTH EASTERN ATLANTIC, THAT IS HEADED FOR THE FLORIDA MAINLAND, REFUSES TO SPEAK ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE. ANDERSON HAS WITNESSED THE DEVASTATION AND IMPACT OF HARVEY FIRST HAND. HE SEEMS LIKE A COMPASSIONATE PERSON, WHO HAS BORN WITNESS TO ENOUGH NATURAL DISASTERS, TO RECOGNIZE THAT THE STORMS BARRELING OUT OF THE ATLANTIC ARE VERY DIFFERENT IN SEVERITY, FROM YEARS PAST. WHY IS THERE NO ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION ABOUT WHAT THE CAUSES ARE AND THE PREPARATIONS FOR, CLIMATE CHANGE?? WE HAVE A PRESIDENT THAT DENIES THERE IS CLIMATE CHANGE, YET
WE ARE EXPERIENCING ITS RAVAGES EVERY TIME WE REPORT ON A NEW TROPICAL STORM.
WHY DOESN'T SOMEONE CHALLENGE TRUMP ON HIS VIEWS HERE AND NOW? TO LIVE IN DENIAL IS PLAIN STUPID AND THE MEDIA IS SUPPOSED BRING THIS PARTICULAR EMERGENCY TO THE FOREFRONT....AT LEAST FOR DISCUSSION. INSTEAD WE HAVE A PANEL ABOUT DACA.
I'M SORRY. THE IMMIGRATION PROBLEM IS IMPORTANT TO SOME PEOPLE.THE ENVIRONMENT EFFECTS US ALL. ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS LOOK AT THE PIX COMING OUT OF HOUSTON. THE LEVELS OF RAIN FALL ARE STUPENDOUS, AND YET THE "WHY"IS COMPLETELY OVER LOOKED.
ANDERSON, DO YOUR JOB. REPORT ON TRUMP'S DENIAL. MAKE THE REPUBLICANS SEE MORE THAN "ANOTHER SEVERE STORM." DACA WILL TAKE CARE OF ITSELF, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. I'M REALLY TIRED OF THE MEDIA REPORTING ON THE "OBVIOUS."

I missed the first two minutes (I'm blaming YouTube) of Tuesday's 360. Meteorologist Tom Sater was well into his report on Hurricane Irma, how scary she is, where she might be going and even reports that she (along with a few other hurricanes) caused earthquake tremors. Anderson talked to Kayla Santiago in Puerto Rico regarding Irma's severity and how they are preparing.
But the big story of the night and the next two and a half segments was Trump / Sessions ending DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). That started here with Anderson's overview, clips of Trump saying he "loves" the Dreamers and "Congress will be able to help them proper", past campaigner Trump comments on DACA and Sessions announcing its end. Anderson had a few words to say about the consequences for the 800,000+ Dreamers and about Trump declaring in the past that he was a great dealmaker but that DACA could end up (if Congress gets its act together) like his "Repeal and Replace" promise.

The second segment started with Obama's comment on Trump's decision (Obama made DACA happen) and the rest was Anderson's interview with Jorge Ramos. Ramos doesn't like this decision, said Trump is wrong, brought up clemency, doubts Congress will save DACA and Obama's intent should have gone farther.

The third segment was a debate between WA Attorney General Bob Ferguson and former VA Attorney General Kenneth Cuccinelli debating the pros and cons of DACA.

The first half of the next segment was a talk with Ivan Perez about "House Intel Committee Subpoenas FBI, Justice Dept For Documents On Trump Russia Dossier" including other info on the Russia investigation. The second half was a talk with Barbara Starr and then retired Lt. Gen. James Clapper about North Korea's latest threat.

Anderson read Trump's newest tweet about DACA ('Congress should do something...I might revisit it...') when the last segment of the first hour started. This was a brand new tweet and Anderson didn't analyze it instead going right to his interview with Jack Parrish of NOAA about flying into hurricanes most recently Irma. There was some more information on Irma from Tom Sater and then an update from Houston from Martin Savidge.
Anderson previewed the start of the second hour: Trump and DACA.

Pres. Obama did what he could to help the Dreamers since Congress wouldn't act--he did and does have genuine compassion for them and that was evident in his statement, unlike Trump's fake 'love' for Dreamers--but that's still not good enough for Jorge Ramos--maybe instead of trashing what President Obama tried to do, Ramos should continue to focus on Trump and the GOP's unnecessary dismantling of DACA for political purposes only. I guess having Ramos ending the segment placing the blame squarely on President Obama and calling his attempt taking on immigration reform a 'failure' is exactly what Anderson and 360 wanted to hear.

Anderson's essay on "art of the punt" on yesterday's show was briliiant, if anyone wants to check it out.

@cappy Anderson opened with the storm, you must have missed it.

CAN'T WAIT TO READ HILLARY'S BOOK, ALTHOUGH I REALLY DON'T LIKE THE TITLE. ACCORDING TO CNN, WHO BOUGHT AN EARLY COPY, SHE BLAMES EVERYBODY BUT HERSELF FOR THE LOSS. SHE TAKES JABS AT VICE PRESIDENT BIDEN, BERNIE SANDERS, AND PRESIDENT OBAMA. SHE SAYS THAT OBAMA SHOULD HAVE EXPOSED THE TRUTH ABOUT RUSSIAN INTERVENTION. I THINK THIS IS TRUE. HE SHOULD HAVE SAID "THIS IS WHAT WE KNOW. VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE." INSTEAD THERE WERE RUMORS FLOATING AROUND, AND WE ENDED UP WITH A DANGEROUS CON MAN WHO KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT ANYTHING.
I DO REALIZE THE FORMER PRESIDENT WAS IN A TIGHT SPOT, BUT HE WAS LEAVING OFFICE. WHAT DID IT MATTER? TRUMP SUPPORTERS WOULD STILL HAVE VOTED FOR TRUMP. BUT THOSE THAT WEREN'T COMMITTED MIGHT HAVE SWAYED THE VOTE AND VOTED FOR HILLARY. WE'LL NEVER KNOW.
