Sometimes I see the end of Erin Burnett's show and sometimes there is a Jeanne Moos piece. Moos does funny reports and the one today poked fun at Trump calling Kim Jung Un "Rocket Man" and had several good takes taken from Twitter. I have a fuzzy decades-old memory of Moos' pieces being on 360. Does Anderson simply not like them? Are they competition for his own "The Ridiculist"? That's a shame because Moos is worth watching.

Anderson started Tuesday's 360 with news on the earthquake near Mexico City. He interviewed via phone Christopher Edwards, who was in Mexico City, on the earthquake, damage and rescues. The talk with meteorologist Tom Sater at first covered geological facts on the earthquake before covering Hurricane Maria and her strength, path and damage predictions. Anderson talked to Nick Paton Walsh in Puerto Rico about past Hurricane Irma damage and preparing for tomorrow's Hurricane Maria damage.

"Special Counsel Investigating Manafort For Possible Financial Crimes Going Back 11 Years" read the chyron while Anderson spoke with Ivan Perez for details and then a panel of Jeffrey Toobin, John Dean and Kenneth Cuccinelli for analysis. The second chyron of the segment was "RNC Covered $230K+ In Trump's Legal Fees in August" and again Toobin, Dean and Cuccinelli discussed focusing on the legality and shades where it gets illegal. I liked Cuccinelli asking why alleged "billionaire" Trump needs the RNC to pay this. The end of the segment had Norman Grillo reporting from Mexico City on the situation, damaged buildings and citizens working to remove rubble and look for people.

Trump's speech at the U.N. today had two themes: America First and we'll destroy "Rocket Man" and North Korea if they look at us cross-eyed. There was a clip of Trump obviously reading the teleprompter for the speech. Anderson had a Q&A with Thomas Friedman of the NY Times for his analysis, corrections of the illogical parts and better ideas on how to deal with North Korea.

The last segment of the first hour had an update on Hurricane Maria and a phone interview with Richard Hennings, one of the guys at NOAA who flies into hurricanes.

The second hour started with the Mexican earthquake.

I'm not a Seth Meyers watcher but will try to catch Anderson on his show tonight.

AS A PREFERENCE I OFTEN PREFER NOT TO WATCH ANDERSON'S RIDICULIST BECAUSE IT WAS ALWAYS,
WELL RIDICULOUS, AND NOT FUNNY OR ONLY FUNNY TO HIM.
BUT TONIGHT WITH ALL THE DISASTERS, THE EARTHQUAKE IN MEXICO, THOSE POOR CHILDREN, AND PUERTO RICO BEING DEMOLISHED BY MARIA, IT WAS TIME FOR SOME LEVITY AND WE GOT IT. AC'S LIST WAS ACTUALLY FUNNY AND IT WAS HARD NOT TO LAUGH.....BECAUSE HE MADE FUN OF TRUMP. IT SEEMS
BOGUS DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO PRONOUNCE AFRICAN NAMES AND WAS AN EMBARRASSMENT, WHAT ELSE IS NEW, WHEN HE MISPRONOUNCED NAMBIA OR MADE IT UP. AC SAID IT WAS A 'NEW COUNTRY' IN AFRICA. HE ALSO SAID IF YOU ARE SPEAKING IN FRONT OF AFRICAN LEADERS, "WOULDN'T YOU TAKE THE TIME TO LEARN HOW TO PRONOUNCE THE COUNTRIES WHERE EACH LEADER IS FROM?" YES, YOU WOULD, BUT WE'RE TALKING TRUMP
AND IN HIS UNIVERSE, NAMBIA, NO MATTER HOW YOU PRONOUNCE IT, EXISTS.
OF COURSE W. ALWAYS LIKED TO MISPRONOUNCE NUCLEAR, BUT HE IS FORGIVEN. ACTUALLY AFTER TRUMP, W. IS FORGIVEN FOR A LOT THINGS. W'S PRESIDENCY IS BEING SEEN IN A NEW LIGHT, ONE THAT IS BETTER AND LIGHT YEARS AWAY FROM WHAT WE ALL FIRST THOUGHT. SO MUCH FOR A PRESIDENTIAL LEGACY.
AND JEANE MOOS IS VERY WITTY. ALWAYS ENJOYED HER AND I DON'T THINK AC LOOKS AT HER AS COMPETITION. HER STYLE OF HUMOR IS QUITE DIFFERENT. IT'S ALL IN HER DELIVERY.
