Anderson Cooper 360 on Tuesday, February 20, 2018

Anderson Cooper anchored AC360 from the NYC studio in the 8pm and 9pmET hours from the NYC studio.  Anderson spent three segments talking to students from Parkland in light of today's events - the State of Florida voted down a measure to ban AK15s; conspiracy theorists are calling students "crisis actors"; and a bus load of students is heading to Tallahassee to visit the state legislature:

The panel tonight was extra "special" and by the end of the hour Anderson was just rolling with the crazy:

Today was Anderson's mother's (Gloria Vanderbilt's) birthday.  Anderson and Gloria both posted to their Instagram accounts marking the day ~

I have a good feeling about the actions being taken by the Parkland Students and other students and adults across the country. In my lifetime I have witnessed young students take to the streets to fight for civil rights and to protest the Vietnam War - both brought change.

Not sure if it's just me, but every time Jack Kingston opens his mouth, "you can't fix stupid" is the thought that pops into my head. It was clear that the panel and Anderson had had it with him tonight. Anderson didn't hold back on Jack tonight. Thanks for posting the last clip. I guess Anderson is all about Omerosa since he did the RidicuList about her a couple weeks ago.

Anderson cracked me up with his reactions to the despicable Jack Kingston--Kingston shouldn't even have been invited on after his repulsive comments about the awesome, strong and smart students who are fighting for more effective gun legislation. Anderson is always great when he's fully engaged in the panel discussions--I also have to commend Kirsten Powers and Jeff Toobin for their sharp commentary. Van Jones sometimes annoys me with his too conciliatory tone with vile Trumpies and other right wingers but he made some great points about the double standards in the mass shooting debate when the response/reaction differs depending on WHO does the shooting.

COULD NOT AGREE MORE ABOUT JACK KINGSTON. ANDERSON NEEDS TO POINT OUT THAT KINGSTON IS A 'FORMER CONGRESSMAN' FROM GEORGIA AND THERE IS A REASON HE IS A 'FORMER.' IS IT BECAUSE HE IS OBNOXIOUS AND HE MAKES STUFF UP TO FIT HIS OWN NARRATIVE.
DONALD TRUMP JR IS SCUM JUST LIKE HIS "DAD." HOW DARE HE SPEAK BADLY ABOUT THOSE STUDENTS WHO ARE SPEAKING OUT. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE YEARS AGO. MAYBE THE NRA WOULDN'T BE SO POWERFUL IF PEOPLE STARTED TO "BUCK" THE ESTABLISHED THEORY" THAT THE NRA CAN'T BE STOPPED.
YES, IT CAN. JUST STOP STICKING YOUR HAND OUT MARCO RUBIO AND ACCEPTING CASH BECAUSE THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL AS FAR AS YOUR CAREER IS CONCERNED. (HE WAS CORNERED AT TOWN HALL MEETING).

HEY DONALD TRUMP JR. HERE'S A CONSPIRACY THEORY FOR YOU. YOUR FATHER IS PRESIDENT BECAUSE THE RUSSIANS "FIXED" THE 2016 ELECTION RESULTS. DUH?? MORE THAN HALF THE COUNTRY CONSIDERS HIM ILLEGITIMATE. SO THAT MAKES YOU....AN OFFICIAL NRA DOUCHE BAG.
