Let's Lighten Things Up

I think, after reading comments on the From Paris to Chicago post, that we'll just have to agree to disagree when it comes to Anderson Cooper's coverage of Paris Hilton. So let's lighten things up a bit with this video that I just found on Huffington Post. I must say I enjoyed it more than watching the Larry King Live interview. World News on ABC, ran a re-enactment of the first segment of Hilton's interview with Larry King in lieu of running an actual video clip, restricted by CNN. ABC asked desk assistants Jack and Bradley to re-enact the moment. Jack and Bradley handled their moment in the sun with aplomb, with just the right balance of sincerity and mockery.

And for those of you who think Anderson is alone in his disdain for the SWMNBN story watch this. It's MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski and Willie Geist with Joe Scarborough on Morning Joe.

Phebe the first video was so great......I loved Jack and Bradley, they were fantastic!!!!!!

The second video was interesting....that's all I am going to say. I am done talking about Paris now :)

I just came across this on the 360 page:

Friday's show

CNN's Larry King... Some would say he's got the job a lifetime, asking presidents & princesses, actors and athletes the questions you would ask. We Celebrate Larry King's 50 years in broadcasting, Friday 10 ET.

Does this mean no Anderson tomorrow or is this something new.....it has been a while since the showed the LK 50th anniversary thing.

From TV Critic Bob Sassone:
"What did you think? I actually think that Anderson Cooper had some of the best comments on Hilton, on his show after King. CNN is going to repeat the interview on Friday at 8pm. Of course." - Just the messenger, not saying I agree with him, just interesting.

Brian Lowry's review at VARIETY was pretty amusing as well.

You also can't beat Alessandra Stanley of the New York Times -
"It was delicious to watch Anderson Cooper sneer at the young celebutante’s frivolity, then piggyback his show to Mr. King’s and devote an entire hour to Ms. Hilton’s jailhouse conversion. And all week, media analysts, law professors and image consultants scuffled like paparazzi for the chance to go on television and deconstruct Ms. Hilton’s latest escapade."

Okay, because some friends from the UK are traveling thru LA and want to do drinks at Teddy's will I venture into Hollywood tonite. I shudder at the thought as that is one of Paris' hangouts...but as I said, LA is never finished with her....

The 360 page also says that tonight is a repeat of last night's show about Paris Hilton. I hope that's a mistake and it just hasn't been updated yet but you never know.

So CNN is using Paris again tonight to get ratings? Great.

Great videos! I think the last time I watched World News on ABC was when AC was on it- nice to know they still keep things light.

Kudos to Mika. Can't believe she dug the lighter out of someone else's pocket!

Mika rocks! Love the feistiness of that program.
