So much to celebrate

Good afternoon everyone! Wow! What a week! So much to celebrate in our ATA family. First, our 2 year anniversary, then our new look, Ms. Purple Tie's birthday and now:

Forget the champagne, Anderblue Martinis for everyone!!! Phebe, we raise our glasses to you my friend! We hope you have a wonderful birthday filled with joy, love, happiness and many, many presents!

And what better way to celebrate Phebs birthday then the return of The Man! WOO HOO! I'm sorry, vacation looks very good on Mr. Cooper! We covered most of last night's show during the morning post but I just want to say a couple of things about the politics of the night. First, I don't care if you are Oprah, Bruce Springsteen, Barbara Streisand or Susan Sarandon. I cannot stand celebrities stumping for their favorite candidates. But during every presidential election since I was old enough to care, the celebrities come out in droves in support of their favorite candidate. So now starts the 'photo-ops for votes' season. UGH! You know what would be refreshing? An actual presidential election where the candidate wins because of the issues they support. Nowadays I feel like the celebrity with the most clout wins their candidate the election. Isn't that sad?

The YouTube Debate are coming to St. Petersburg!
Tomorrow is the much anticipated Republican YouTube Debates. CNN put out the schedule for the night:

Wednesday, Nov. 28
8 p.m.-10 p.m. CNN/YouTube/RPOF Presidential Primary Debate in St. Petersburg with a simulcast on Headline News of Erica Hill reporting live from Tampa, Fla., with a focus group of undecided voters

10 p.m.-11 p.m. Special Anderson Cooper 360° post-debate program with Anderson Cooper live from St. Petersburg and Wolf Blitzer and the rest of the Best Political Team reporting

11 p.m.-12 a.m. Documentary Broken Government: Campaign Killers featuring Campbell Brown

12 a.m.-1 a.m. Replay of CNN/YouTube/RPOF Presidential Primary Debate

Much has been written about tomorrow night's debate but here are two Q&A's with Anderson Cooper for you to peruse!

TownHall.com's Q&A with Anderson Cooper has a very conservative slant to their questions.

Yesterday, The Feed on tampabay.com also posted a Q&A with Anderson which was done right before the Las Vegas debates. Have a read.

Loved the appearance on Ellen and kudos to whomever chooses the walk out music. When they had Andy come out to "Been around the world and I .I...I...I can't find my baby..." I just about fell off my chair. Classic.

Happy birthday Phebe! How nice of Anderson to schedule an appearance today just for you :)

I raise my Anderblue martini to you and wish you all the best today. May a live Anderson in Florida be the best present of all :)

I loved Anderson on Ellen. Loved the song they played for him when he came out but it was way too short and it seemed very repeditive for any Anderson fan. Too bad though. Was really hoping for more. Hopefully he will be on again sometime in the future.
Great post Sheryn!

Happy Birthday!

AC was sooooooo cute lol lol

It was cute seeing him on the show but what was the point? I'd thought they'd at least mention the debate this week.

Also, he needs to get some fresh junk TV shows to watch. He's been talking about Super Sweet 16 for two years now. Is it even on anymore?

It took me a minute to figure out why they picked out that song but "all around the world" really does describe him.

Happy B'day Phebe!!!!!
Luckily you had the clip as I don't have time for Ellen today - but it was funny - at least his "shtick" has somewhat changed...personally, forget "Hey Paula" (I gave up after the dog poop scene...), I am totally blown away with The Real Housewives of Orange County....I just don't believe there are women out there like that - my jaw drops when I happen to see the program...okay, fess, up what are your guilty pleasure shows since AC was asked? Kind of on-topic...Us TV people want to know....(please don't say The Bachelor...).

And, 60 MINUTES had 16 million viewers last Sunday and ranked 7th for all broadcast (cable has its own ranking) programs for the week - first time in a Loooonnnnng time in the top Ten.

Sheryn, thank you for the video. I was hoping all day that it would be on ATA! The interview was short but sweat.
@acanderfan: I agree, he has great taste in tv shows :D

Happy Birthday Phebe! Hope you have a wonderful day.

Loved AC on Ellen. I've heard the stories before but he seemed to be very relaxed and happy. Maybe I'm just getting older but he looked very young and fresh! Wish he would have had more time. I was also surprised they didn't mention the debate. I am always amazed these busy people take such long trips to do such short interviews. I would love to see an hour of Anderson. Hey, maybe they could have Glen Beck interview Anderson!

Guilty viewing pleasures; American Idol, The Amazing Race, and Project Runway (who doesn't love Tim, afterall, he chose AC as the sexiest man alive!)

@Phebe, Here's to you my Anderblue martini wishing you a Happy Birthday and many more to come :)

I got to watch Ellen today, To me it wasn't long enough, but it was all good.

I don't think the TV stars and movie stars should campaign for whom they want for president. I think it's a little unfair to tell you the truth.

Funny that Ellen basically only asked Anderson about junk tv shows. Is that the kind of question she usually asks her guests? I've never watched before, as I'm not a fan of talk shows. Well, I don't watch mtv either, so I have no idea what he is talking about. But it was nice to see him relaxed and happy.

And speaking of happy --
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to Phebe, happy birthday to you!!

Hey Happy Birthday!!

Great to see Anderson on the Ellen show! Much too short of an interview though!! I love how normal he is! And those beautiful blue eyes! Be still my heart!...No mention of the debate though...Hopefull next time Ellen will his AC on for a longer chat!..By the way the song is by Lisa Stansfield, a British singer from the 1980's.

Happy Birthday, Phebe and hoping you've had a wonderful day! There's been so many wonderful celebrations this week! Keep those Anderblue martinis coming!

Thanks for the Ellen show video, Sheryn. Was surprised by the content of the questions she posed Anderson since he has recently done PIP and the debates are upcoming, but, at least, it was light-hearted. So he Was worried he was going to have to do "that thing"?! LOL!

Excellent posting as always, Sheryn!

Thank you soooo much for the Ellen clip!! I don't have a TiVo (yet) so this makes it hard, but I know I can always count on my girls at ATA to save the day!!! Love you all!!

I wish the interview went longer, but hopefully next time, since he's so fabulous :)

Happy Birthday Phebe!

AC on Ellen- that's it?!?!? Hmm, I'm with Quitty on this one- I didn't see the point. I was expecting at least a plug for the debate or Heroes or PIP premiere on AP... BUT it was a cute interview.

OK- I need another martini!

I'm really looking forward to the debate. I'm not a huge fan of most of the Republican candidates, but I'm curious to see how they react to the user generated questions.

I thought the Ellen segment was absolutely great. Granted that there wasn't much of a point, it was still a nice thing to wake up for this morning! lol. My favorite part was about the shredder.

P.S. Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Phebe...

I hope you have a good one!!

Also, Happy 2nd Anniversary to ATA!!! I have enjoyed and learned so much from all of you, Bloggers and of course, Anderson Cooper. Remember, when Anderson was in New Orleans and we blogged back and forth teasing about Anderson's muscular bisceps. One of our bloggers wished to use the hose to cool us down. It was pretty wild. Plus the naughy chair. LOL......

I didn't watch that program. I love Ellen's personality. It was nice that Anderson showed up and is classic!!

okay..I better be behaved myself. My share to raise my Anderblue martini for your birthday.

I enjoyed Anderson's appearance on Ellen. It reminded me of the long ago Johnny Carson days when people would often be on because they were interesting to talk to and not because they were promoting something.

Shredding just became a lot more fun.

HI All!

First of all, best wishes on your birthday,Phebe!Enjoy!!

Anderson's appearance on ELLEN was way way to short, and he could at least have mentioned PIP or the debate maybe?

I hope he gets back to do R@K again soon.

Any scoops on when our Mr.Cooper may be returning to NOLA by any chance, ladies?

Happy Birthday Ms. Phebe! Hope you have more great birthdays to come, which has to include Anderson of course.

Thank for posting the video of Anderson's guesting on Ellen, Sheryn. We can always count on you. He's so funny when he's comfortable talking to somebody, I loved the last part of the interview regarding the shredder. Cute.

Thanks everybody for the birthday wishes. And thank you Ms. Sheryn for not mentioning my age in your post!

OK, the appearance was cute and all, but I have to concur - what was the point? I would've assumed he was on to promote the debate, but no mention of that. It seemed to end really abruptly, so maybe there was more stuff mentioned that wasn't aired. Priorities, you know - have to leave time for The Bachelor reject.

Speaking of which, I guess Anderson and I could never watch TV together because our tastes seem to be totally opposite - I go out of my way to avoid all those shows. Yuck!
