360 was pretty good. I really liked the discussions about the cruise ship. That captain is in big trouble. It sounded like he once went past that rocky island so a crew member could wave to his family. What's up with that? This story just gets more bizarre as time goes on.
The Italian cruise ship disaster is a big important story but 360 didn't need to spend over half the show on it. I lost interest after about 20 minutes.
It seemed like The Ridiculist wasn't done because Anderson let Fleischer and Belcher go overtime; he tried to end the discussion but they kept going for about a minute longer.
Jaanza
The tape of the Coast Guard official furiously ordering the cruise ship's captain to take action was riveting--hopefully this captain's inaction and cowardice is a rarity on these cruise ships, but I wouldn't want to take a chance on that. The descriptions by Tom Foreman and other experts I've watched regarding what the trapped passengers may have experienced are frightening and sad.
Glad 360 devoted the lead story to the cruise ship disaster.
The black box with the details is very telling and the Italian Coast Guard commander knew that the Captain defied his orders to return to the sinking ship.
Now we all know the definition of "jump ship," and this Captain has proven to the world that he was a coward in the face of danger.
Remarkable how every word was recorded and I hope they find the second black box that AC was talking about.
Skipped the politics, but a second good 360 in a row.
