Anderson's Upcoming Events ~
The event will feature a performance by much-admired opera singer Jessye Norman, and remarks by CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, among others. The evening will kick off the first International AIDS Conference to be held in the U.S. in more than two decades. In 2010, President Barack Obama signed legislation that lifted the longstanding ban on HIV-positive foreign visitors to the U.S., allowing the first conference to take place on U.S. soil since 1990.

360 was OK tonite. I give them credit for having a pretty good mix of stories.
Monday's 360 was mixed. The segment about the 2012 campaign might have been good but I mostly mentally tuned it out.
The segment on Rep. Bachmann and others wanting an investigation into the "infiltration" of the Muslim Brotherhood in U.S. government was done well. Of course none of the five congressmen/woman behind this are going to consent to be interviewed. It would have been great if Rep. Ellison was available, he correctly pointed out that this is a bunch of allegations, coincidential proof and a lot of B.S. I liked how panelist Zogby correlated this as a thinly veiled attack on Obama.
Anderson had a commercial teaser about the two missing Iowan girls. And then followed with a story on a new mom afflicted with flesh-eating bacteria. 360 and CNN really shouldn't do that. If the anchor states 'stay tuned for this story' that story should be next. The story about the mom was okay but it seemed like unnecessary filler. The missing Iowan girls was not only a bigger story but it was also more important.
I agreed with everything Anderson said in the Ridiculist.

Pointing out facts about Mitt Romney's records and asking legitimate questions about his qualifications and statements is perfectly legitimate, the tone of the ads aren't the issue, what Romney has done to warrant closer scrutiny is what's really important. And don't think that the dark lords Koch/Rove/Super Pacs aren't going to go nuclear on President Obama with all kinds of negative ads as the campaign progresses--I'm with Paul Begala, Democrats have to toughen up and hit Romney with everything they've got like the latest (excellent) ad from the Obama Team.
