Treasures from the vault for a Tuesday ~

When cleaning out the vault we uncovered videos from late 2007/early 2008 of various people that Anderson auditioned for the "Voice of 360" after NBC hired Michael Douglas for the "Voice" of Brian Williams' nightly newscast. Here's a sampling of what we found ~

First up was Floor Manager Kevin (Yes, you read that right, Kevin!)

Kevin was back for a second try, this time with an accent?

Next up was Ozzy Osbourne

Then Fran Drescher

And finally, Gene Simmons

360 was pretty good. I particularly liked Gary's piece about the preachers who use serpents. Those are the stories I like to see on 360. That one guy who had been bitten 4 times in 2 years is crazy. One of these days his luck is going to run out.

My favorite part of Tuesday's 360 was the first part. It was great how Anderson tore apart the allegations by Rep. Bachmann and the others and the so-called "proof" Bachmann provided. And !Yay! Rep. Ellison was on the show; loved how Ellison called Bachmann's 16-page document "regurgitated nonsense" and demonstrated that my state can in fact elect intelligent people. Next Anderson needs to talk to Huma Abeden.

Erick Erickson tried but he didn't convince me that Romney is more in touch with the economy than Prez. Obama.

It was a nice interview with Steven St. Bernard, who caught that little girl from the third-floor. Besides having the best name for a hero, he was very humble about it.

Note to ATA - Monday on the Colbert Report, Colbert had a funny comment about Anderson and Isha having a baby together. The video is on the Colbert site but it would be great if you could add the snippet about Anderson here on ATA.

Overall a pretty good 360. Michele Bachmann is nuts. I'm glad to see Anderson calling her and her "buddies" out for their hate mongering.

I wonder if Anderson or someone on staff watches HBO's Newsroom. Bachmann's silly claims about the cost of the President's trip to India was part of the show this past Sunday. They've also been calling out the Tea Party's lies the last two weeks.

Not sure what 360/CNN is going for with their segment titles on the political segment the last two night, but they've looked a little silly, given the direction of the discussion. Maybe it didn't go as planned?

Loved that Kevin called Anderson "Gun Metal Gray" - hadn't heard that in a while!
